A friend of mine is a singer. I was able to get him almost 1 million real YouTube views for just one of his videos and more than 1200 Facebook fans (generated from that video only). About a year ago, he basically told me that I could use ALL his songs and profit from them in any way I wanted as long as I promoted his music. He told me I was free to sell his music and keep all earnings. From the beginning I thought his music wouldn't sell and that the best way to make money from it was to offer free downloads of his songs and use a content locker to force people to fill out a CPA offer before downloading. I had other projects going on and I really didn't expect to earn much money with his music so I didn't do anything but just created a Facebook fanpage for him and let people download his main song after "liking" the page. Now that I see all the views his main video has generated as well as all the facebook fans that have liked his page just to get the download, I am starting to think I should go ahead with my original plan and put a content locker for each of his songs. Of course, I will have to make a video for each of his songs, upload it and get tons of views which is not a problem. What do you guys think? Should I go for it or just forget about it? Am I being too optimistic and people will not fill out a CPA offer to get his music or am I just being plain stupid and leaving money on the table? Thank you guys for reading my story. Have a successful week!
