Hi there

at this moment for several reasons, I feel a bit lost but I would like to try -or rather, I must- to get back into the game and try to change things

I hope that changing my mindset could help me better manage the depressive events from which I happen to suffer (even only a few people are aware of)

Since right now I have more time to take courses and learn new skills (I am not working at the moment because of a new wave of covid) I ask you for a suggestion in which field I should focus on

what job/skill do you think has the fastest learning curve and therefore allows you to start working/earning (as a freelancer or employee) relatively quickly?

I am not looking for a way to earn several k per month (although I would not mind :p) but to start a path that allows me to build something that will allow me to break my slump and change certain patterns that hinder my self-fulfillment/happiness

I really need help

Obviously, I know that the choice is based on personal interests and inclinations (for example, writing costs me time and energy, so a career as a copywriter is not for me), but sharing your ideas and opinions could help me to clear my mind

Thank you so much

IMO the first step of getting back in the game isn't about the game.

It's about yourself.

It should be about building yourself up, adopting good habits (exercise, sleeping well, healthy food, meditation, reading books), and ending bad habits such as porn consumption, junk food, drugs, overconsumption of social media, and phone usage, etc.

Gradually, you'll feel better and get clear in the head, and this will massively help you in any project you want to undertake.

If you don't feel good about yourself or don't take care of yourself, you will likely not be able to build a successful business and continue to spiral into depression.

Good luck to you, dropped some insane and simple but yet hard-to-follow value bombs.

Start a niche blog
[Be mentally prepared to earn nothing for a couple of months]

If you ought to learn a skill for freelancing, you're always dependant
(People will exploit you by paying ridiculous rates for your time since you're a fresher)

Just head over IM journeys section to find a blueprint you can tweak.

How did that go for you?
Still working on things, and learning, but its certainly more complicated than hello world, lol

Good fun though, I enjoy programming more than any aspect of IM now.

Thanks mate for your reply: I really appreciated it

your observations are absolutely right to and the points you listed are definitely important to change the situation

in my specific case some don't affect me too much (eg. junk food, drugs, porn, and social media abuse) while for others (reading, meditation, physical exercise) I'm already working to change things

Sleeping well and for a long time is a different matter: I really struggle to manage it well (but this is also connected with depression and overthinking)

That said at the moment I think I need to focus on something different

I need something that keeps my mind busy, that can make my knowledge/skills profitable and broadens the horizon/opportunity in front of me

Something to help me to feel again more confident

Yeah, I am ready to face no or just little gain
and I also know full well what I'm going to get into

Start a niche blog is a nice idea but at the same time I have to deepen my knowledge of too many skills all at once
SEO, Copywriting (that as said I don't like) etc

As much as possible I would like to focus on one skill, take courses, study and practice so that I can get enough in-depth knowledge of the subject

I am aware of Pareto's law and that the really important and useful knowledge are relatively few about the whole topic but my skills are too dash-shape while I want/need to get more T-shape

However the blog I would see it more as a way to practice and test what I'm learning

Thank you so much for the advice to check out the IM Journey section: I had never really checked it out but it is full of really interesting insights

I used to think that programming was the quickest thing to learn and make money from. Then I started programming! :D
WOW
well done dude

I don't know if programming is really something for me

I fall more into the category of the creative rather than the methodical and analytical and for this reason I have often pulled out of certain fields

That being said, I wouldn't even know what programming language I could possibly evaluate
which has a learning curve not too long but still allows to be useful and marketable

You can start niche blogging on any topic that you have an interest. Finding an interest is the first thing you need.

I would agree for me I am at the moment programming three different softwares

Thanks @soppymain

I would prefer to focus to learn/improve a more vertical skill but I will consider your suggestion
Alright, you can focus on what you want as long as you have the interest and drive. Best of luck

Pinterest
Kind of like management system
A way to workout costs for example say you tell me to build you car it will give out part costs for example Engine say $1000 and wheels $500 then give you the cost of each part then you in theory then send the payment to me or someone else.

Between SEO, google ads, Facebook ads, content creator, create "info-products", programming, SMM etc (feel free to add more)

Which do you think is the most useful and expendable in the market?

Or, going back which skill do you think would have been more useful to you?

(I know that these are a little bit unusual questions, but this discussion is really helping me to find interesting points of view)

Indeed a company kept offering me money to do a programming job or become the so called programming director with a control interest in the business so probably make that with him either this week or next week.

The Pinterest just waiting for API code then get started.

The third one more just private software give around my friends for free.

Just my general thoughts not sure what you eat or drink health wise but you may feel better or willing to do things if you upgrade your diet for example you can easy buy a soup maker for like £30 depending where you live then get soup mix or get vegetables then make soup often or you can buy wheatgrass or pure chocolate among other things to make you feel happy or better in general or just go to the gym or if no gyms near you just do yoga which you can learn by watching even King of the Hill I am not lying or joking I learned basic Yoga by watching the so called Hank bad back story before.
