I have these antiques at my home land (Srilanka) and i need to sell them for a good price. These are at least 100 years old.

Antique wooden sofa (120 years old, no proof)
A singer Sewing machine (with a code number, atleast 120 years old)
Antique Gramophone(100+ years old, with code and brand numbers)
Few old plates ( British kings faces printed on them very old)

All are working perfect and under very good conditions.

I need your advices on these. I mean these are really expensive and my ebay selling is limited to 150 items/$6000. So how can i sell them there?
Do you know any better sites to sell them on?

    thanks

Do a search with Google.com and Google.co.uk for "antique appraisal" and make enquiries with some of the companies.

If anything is really valuable it might be better to list them with a proper Auction House.

Did you get them appraised yet? Ebay isn't really a good place to sell antiques, most collectors want to check the stuff out before they buy it, if they're in good condition a collector might pay you more for them if they inspect it in person.

Your items will probably make more money in the UK or US.

You should search for a list of antique appraisers and auction houses. Start with the following links:
    http://www.bada.org/
    http://www.lapada.org/
    http://www.theada.co.uk/

Can you give me a little info about the singer?

Is it on a metal frame, with a wooden top and drawers on each side?

Am I correct that it is a treadle machine, and that you use your foot to power the needle roller?

If it as drawers, how many on each side? 1, 2, or 3.

Is it a right or left hand version? The right hand version has the needle on the left.

On the needle end, there should be a flat plate with a slot in it that the thread guide (a little bar with a hole in it) sticks out of, is this plate plain, or decorative?

If it has a wooden top with pulls, look at the drawer pulls, tell me if they are a round wooden knob with a plain flat drawer front, or is the drawer front carved? If it is carved, is there a "scoop" cut out around the knob that gives your fingers a little more room, or is it flat.?

Looking at the machine as if you are going to use it, on the right side (if it is a right hand machine), where the main body meets the wood there should be a small brass tag embedded into the wood at the base of the machine and a code engraved into that tag, if it has it, what is the code?

If it has a wooden top, does the sewing machine drop into the cabinet for storage, and you flip the lid over to close it, or is the cabinet solid and the sewing covered with removable "dog house" that you place over the machine when it is not in use?

If it has the wooden cabinet look at the sides, and you will see where the drawers were attached with a wooden band, there may be two wooden bands separating the 3 drawers. Can you tell me if the section of wood visible between these wooden bands is plain wood, does it have carving, or does it have a carved decoration attached to the surface?

Some old Singers are very valuable, especially the pre 1920 ones with the wooden cabinets.

    Of course, condition is everything.

Also, if the sewing machine drawers have any old sewing accessories, even if i is just a pack of needles, save all of it. Especially the thread, old thread from the past is hard to find.

Errr, I was only Joking. Techxan might have an interest.
If you send me pictures and full details I may be able to speak to some people in the UK, maybe Techxan could do the same for you in the States. I would be looking to take a cut of 10% of final sale price.
Remember though people tend to undervalue on Insurance but overvalue their heirlooms and treasures.

Make a website and list detailed photos and a description for people to look at them and what your asking for and if your willing to negotiate. You might not get what you want, but you can't always have what you want.
