I Need Some Help!

Hi Ninjas! In late February I used one of my old pinterest accounts and linked it with a new domain, I added like 20 articles, and the website started getting traffic from the second month (more than 150 users per day), my account reach 250k+ monthly viewers. In April some days I get more than 1000 users per day and my account reach 800k monthly viewers, and everything seems good. in April and may I added 10 more articles but everything started falling down, low traffic (avg 100 users) and we get back to 400 monthly viewers.

My pinning strategy: 10 pins per day with 5 repins and one repin from other sites. and lately we use a lot of hashtags.

I don't know if its the last pinterest update or my strategy, it could be anything else.

I will be really thankful if anyone can help me with this situation, I know 30 articles is nothing, but I will increase the number.

My questions:

What's your pinning strategy?
How many pins and repins per day?
Do you use hashtags?

Google Analytics.

are you saying all of your traffic was due to your pins on pinterest? could they be through google search alone? if google search, has your ranking for your primary keyword gone done?

Yes 97% of my traffic comes from pinterest and the rest from Fb, direct and small amount from search engines.

if you are 100% positive that 97% comes from pinterest, then unfortunately, i do not know. Not sure about traffic correlation from pinterest. in fact, not sure if I ever read any posts here about this topic.

one question: does alexa data correlates to what you see on google analytics?

Okay Thanks My strategy for this website is designed to get traffic from pinterest. At this moment I don't care about alexa and all other metrics.

My advice would be start again doing what you were doing but scale it. try and do the same thing but with a bunch of accounts and see if you get the same results, it's possible that you have been noticed by Pinterest. I really don't have the answers you are looking for but feel free to post in any of the pinterest threads I started and I will be happy to try and answer any other questions.
