I need some help with basketball coaching blog...

My name is Coach Peterman and I run http://www.mensbasketballhoopscoop.blogspot.com and it is a basketball coaching trading website where we trade basketball coaching notes with coaches from all over the world.

I run the basketball website to help support my little three year old and my ex-wife left us with a debt of 25k. I sell basketball coaching clinic ebooks on the website, but I am horrible with getting this website recognized by the search engines.

I have spent hours and hours dealing with all the seo stuff. I am just not any good with it. I have competition that has taken stuff from me and they use it on their websites and get better results than me.

I have spent all weekend trying to get my sitemap for google to work and I am totally frustrated. Can anyone give me decent advice?

Ok first you need more text, i see a lot of media like video and PDF in a iframe, but not so much text, do some deep keyword research and write some more articles of what you exactly do because it wasn't really clear to me when i landed on the site. (could be because i don't know squad about basketball )

Do you get any traffic at all?

I was getting about 250 hits a day till the last two weeks. It went dead.... sales dropped off and the hits did too.

I can't figure out the problem.

How many threads are you going to create about this? You have another one going here where people are offering advice. Hey, your choice if you want to ignore...

Edit: btw, a blogspot blog is seldom regarded as a website.

as far as I know, you can do article marketing, write some article about basketball, and post it on a lot of article submitter website (Ezine, AC, etc etc).

Make a digg account. Get some friend, and shout your site into your friend, ask them to digg it.
Make a video about your site, post it on youtube, on video yahoo, video google.
Make a myspace site, facebook, hi5, etc etc. Get some friend, and post a bulletim telling how good your site is.
Make a squidoo lens (I have no experience with this).

I think you should make more backlink to yoursite. You can post article in ezine article , make squidoo lens account or make digg account for fast backlink. You can get backlink from post comment in blog or forum. Use some software in BHW to automate your work! Im sure you will get your traffic back in few days!

As a visitor who wants to learn bball...I think your site is not really helpful to me. I think you need to put more text and stop posting too many media.Write keyword rich articles cause search engines only look at text.

Is there anything that I can do other than writing keyword rich articles and posting them? Just looking for suggestions. I really do appreciate all your help.
