I have a localized domain already ranking in top 10 for a keyword. The thing is that the keyword is something like "laywers in [spain city]", and I'm ranking in google.es (the web), but not in google.es (Sites from Spain).

How could I improve my rankings in google.es (Sites From Spain)?

Do someone knows about web 2.0 propierties with .es in the domain name?

    thanks

Is that really important? I think submitting to local directories and having a local domain is enough. Also, get some organic backlinks from local websites. If possible, translate the website into local language.

It's the only way your site will appear at "Sites from Spain".
I have several MFA mini sites targeted for google.pt and only after I made the switch from a US based server to a Portuguese server have my sites appear at "Sites from Portugal" results.

    creadit card las vegas
    or
    casino paris

    1. ip address of the server should be in spain.
    2. language should be in spainish
    3. Multiple backlinks with spanish sites.

What a load of toss. The only thing that matters is content. If the content is in spanish you will rank on google.es.

Ok... to take all the doubts away :
    1. Do the search for your keyword but only for "Sites from Spain"
    2. Get some random result urls
    2. Check with some geo-ip service where these urls are located
I'll bet you all of them are Spanish IP's

The thing here is not ranking in google.es... is ranking for the option "SITES FROM SPAIN".
Google in some countries have multiple search options like search:
    a) the web
    b) sites written in 'language'
    c) sites from 'country'

Have never tested it but for sure it does have to be a spanish IP after all it says 'sites from spain' not sites written 'in spanish' which makes sense. The site could be in spanish but based on lawyers in mexico city, which wouldnt make it relevant.

Why not you try looking under google.es & click on the 'sites in spain'.

Try the keyword iphone. (Which i think is a good keyword to test as there are huge SEO marketing on it for U.S sites)

I bet most of the sites in the first 3 pages have ip address from spain and not those smashing good SEO sites from U.S, even if they have spanish content.

Ok, I will do the test about ip, and post the results later

    Some clarifications:

    The keyword is localizated
    The content is in spanish

One more thing: I have a site that is first in google.com.ar, with option "sites only from argentina", and when I do a site:domain in google.es with option "sites only from spain" don't show up.

Thinking about the IP test: My site in first spot in google.com.ar with option is hosted in USA, but it have a local TLD (.com.ar). Maybe you need or a local TLD or a Local IP.

I also remember that most sites that show up for searches with "only sites from spain" in google.es are .com

So, I think only the IP test will bring some light here.

Also I have started to get links from sites that show up in "only sites from spain" searches, maybe that could be a factor too

Anyway, thanks everybody for your ideas and comments
