    HI,

A new client of mine just asked me if I can take a banner that they have had made for them, and add clickable icons inside of that banner.

So in the banner they would have facebook, twitter, link to website. Yada yada. I know that I can take the banner upload to photobucker. Then add the link of the image to the sig section. But how can I create the banner, with the clickable Icons, and still working in the email signature?

Tough or easy I have no idea just need some help. I'll hook you up with a little cash in paypal if you can give me some solid explanation, or a tool to do this for me.

I have already googled html banner creater, and they are all templated banner creators, so I can take a custom banner and add to it.

I dont know lost. appreciate the help skype id is randiculous3 if you can help me. THanks

I don't think there is a convenient solution to your problem. Your best bet would be to have a separate image for each link. You could also split the banner up into segments and join it up with some HTML and CSS.

Alternatively you could look into image maps which may or may not work with emails, hence you'll need to do your own testing.

    Image maps
    Code:
    http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/objects.html#h-13.6
W3Schools example (don't usually use them, but this is an easier explanation)
    Code:
    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_map.asp
    Image map generator
    Code:
    http://www.isdntek.com/tagbot/imap.htm
Information about image maps and HTML email
    Code:

You could do clickable buttons and a banner in Adobe Flash, but then the readers need to have flash installed, and iPads and iPhones doesn't have that I think...

EDIT: Oh, you found your solution. :) Cheers

What Email client does your client use? Feel free to PM me the banner. I'll try to create clickable social links within the banner.

WiseStamp doesn't solve your problem, you said you wanted to have a single banner linking to various places? lol

What WiseStamp does, you could do for free (that's if you've already got hosting) with some self hosted HTML and CSS.

    Hi Matthew!

I came to know about wisestamp from your blog and that's what I thought would help OP but in this case, his client needs to have a single banner on which each social icons should be linked to appropriate URL's. It would cost him just $50 if he hires me to build this custom sig. :)

Thanks for your interest. I never said it's a fixed price, I can offer some bargain. :D So both of us can make some profit when I do the actual work. :)

Yea that sounds good, can you handle the rest of the work and set it up in the clients preferred email providers. Let me know what the going rate is for this retail wise, then we can agree on a split.

I'm not sure if I'm being stupid or what but you said:

One can only assume that you wanted a banner (banner being a single image) linked to various links. WiseStamp does not do this, wise stamp has separate images for separate links which is stupid easy to do.

Shade dream, yea I originally thought that's what they wanted. Yea actually the want icons at the bottom find me on facebook, search the mls, and visit my website. But I was curious on how to make the icons clickable with the banner, with custom icons. So whitestamp can do this, but not with custom icons, ill have to pay for it. Yea, so Id like to know a price on just the custom icons at the bottom with the links in them. Or pay whitestamp for a year IDk, when I scale this up I can probably just send all this work to you, and keep you in mind for the code you were talking about above.

Adobe's Edge Animate... I think that might be just what you need,

It can create some really Kick-Ass animated banners! (any element you want can be individually clickable) (it automatically creates the html too so you should be able to easily embed it right into your html-email template).

It's a Bad-Ass tool man, and really easy to use with not much of a learning curve at all, especially if your familiar with Adobe products.

Yeah man no problem, it's really easy to use as you'll soon find out, and you get absolutely amazing results with it fast!

It doesn't take long at all to
create some killer banner ads, animations, etc.

Here's Adobe's YouTube channel which has quite a few Edge Animate tutorials if you need help getting started with it:
    Code:

And if you need any social media icons for your clients project I have a great pack from GraphicRiver I can upload if you need it.

GraphicRiver - 60 Social Media Icons
