Lately I have been using scapebox to backlink my web 2.0s(hubpages and squidoo lenses). I have no trouble getting them 10k-20k links to appear in yahoo within a just a few weeks, but they never seem to rank for anything. In many cases they are completely ignored by the search engine (the "sandbox" I guess) but are in the index.

The links are almost always wordpress and they have the keywords I'm trying to rank for in the name field.

So what I'm wondering, is there anything huge that I'm missing? Do I just need more time?

    Thanks.

I think you just need to be a bit more patient.

Well, I disagree with the advise of being patient. Either you are into something or into nothing. And if It's the latter
according to what your words, I would face the possibility that generating these 1000's of backlinks with scrape box has been indeed a waste of your time.

If you read throughout the forum you'll see the number of posts involving these tool. The problem is NOT the tool per se, the search engines (specially Google) are just not giving much or no credit at all to links created this way.

Maybe for VERY easy keywords you may have a better outcome, but for the keywords known for being more competitive (maybe the case) It's not enough anymore having 1000's and 1000's of links...they want to see also QUALITY.

The backlinks I created with scrape box and/or following the same system, turned out to be of little use or completely useless.

It may be a fact we will have to accept so we can move forward and create better strategies to overcome the new standards from the search engines.

Yeah it definitely looks like google changed *something*. I was looking around and read through some of the other threads you are talking about. It also seems like everyone who has figured it out isn't willing to talk(and you can't really blame them).

Also, hubpages just deleted 2 of my hubs(one showing 7k links and the other showing 12k) because of the spamming. Hopefully the others will go unnoticed. Just a warning for others doing the same thing.

Its very hard to get ahead in this game.
