So next year I will be taking my current online operations a step further. Generating more income.

I was wondering what I should do; whether I should get an accountant or just learn to do it myself?

On the subject of accountants how much do they charge in the east midlands area?

Good accountant can save you lots of money and legally of course.
Not mentioning what creative accountant is capable of.
I recommend hiring one, at least for beginning.

All depends on your scale and complexity of operations
If you expect them to be few keep accounts handled yourself(take example from your nearby Pop and mom retail store)
otherwise think of hiring a Accountant to handle your day to day operations.

It depends on complexity of course. I myself am using a QuickBooks software and I am quite happy with it. It took few hours of intensive googling to set it up. I'd suggest starting an LLC, as it's cheap and takes any personal liability of you. You can pm me if you have specific questions.

There are a ton of companies you can outsource accounting to. If you just want to utilize an accountant for tax advice i would suggest taking all your financial documents to CPA during tax season.
