As the title says, I am building a website, my plan is: Steal articles from other big news websites, post them on my website, profit??? I know how to host a site, I know how to operate in the Cpanel, I know how to set it up, but i need some free advice from someone who did this or knows about WP autoblog plugins. If someone wants to spare some of his time to help me out, I will be very happy to give him a little share of my first month profit :). And also, I am not interested in buying anything from anyone, i know where to get the tools, so don't even try ;)

Let's talk publicly. So other can benefit.
How will you deal with the DMCA requests? Any plans to negate them?
I personally link back to the original source and cite them as the source.
How will you look unique to Google?
I don't worry about it on my site. I spend a day a week curating some posts, giving my own commentary, otherwise I just let the exact news story flow through. I outrank several of the sites I pull stories from.

How many sources are you planning on using?
My site pulls from 32 different websites on a schedule.
    Site A: Monday 3pm, Thursday 11am & 6pm, Saturday 10pm.
    Site B: Sunday 5pm, Wednesday 4pm
And on and on like that. I have hours without postings.

How to you plan to make your titles stand out?
I spintax in latest, breaking, urgent, etc...

What sort of news you going for?
World News puts you against some BIG dogs, local news limits sources. Nichin news gives you plenty of sources, some that might not even focus on the niche.
Example: go for niche news "liberal news", pull from all the big dogs, and also some of the small ones, but also mix in sources from "conservative" news sources, just add "can you believe" or something like that.

    What is you monetization strategy?
People looking to read the news aren't usually in a buyer's mindset, so Amazon and Support type strategies are out. You can put up adwords, taboola, and such, but the CTR is low. We have all seen those spammy looking news sites, with ads plastered everywhere. I usually leave them. Get creative with your monetization, figure out monetization that solves their problems or that appeals to them emotionally.
Example: run the "liberal" news site and have a go fund me up, to do something like buy student debt and forgive it. Mention you take 10% for administrative fees.

Social media. How do you increase your social media presence with an auto-blog?
Use hootsuite(or similar) AND mass planner(or similar). Schedule totally automatic posts to social media of all your news stories, but then use hootsuite to schedule posts touting your site, share fun and different pictures. Use Mass planner to follow/un follow, like, and also to post some pictures, or reshare other people's work. It will dramatically increase your engagement.
Why do I use both? Because I use Mass planner for general, then hootsuite for monetization specific stuff. Just my workflow.

What other questions do you have?

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

How will you deal with the DMCA requests? Any plans to negate them?

-I didn't give this much thought, but thank you for telling me your method of avoiding them. It works for every DMCA request?

How will you look unique to Google?

-I might need your help on this one, I want to use a different design for start, the windows 10 design if you know what I mean, squares :) , and I will use a respiner. Also, I will take your advice, 1 day per week curating posts.

How many sources are you planning on using?

-I am planing to use as many as I can, I am using an rss feed, and I am going to give a try to rss to wordpress converter plugin

How to you plan to make your titles stand out?

-I didn't thought of it too much, but I guess if it is catchy, people will click, my sources titles are very catchy, so I am planning to leave it like that.

What sort of news you going for?

-For this one, I will need your help :) I am going for showbiz, scandal, and gossip about celebrities.

    What is you monetization strategy?

    -
Ads, and thank you for opening my eyes to the other methods. I will not plaster ads everywhere because as you said, it looks spammy. I read a while ago about a wordpress plugin that opens a window ad in backgound whenever user clicks. It has a setting which prevent the user from opening that ad multiple times (does the second click of same IP gives me $$$ or just he see's the ad and gives me nothing?

    Now, my questions are:

Is there a tool that will help me identify all the rival sites in my niche?

What articles are the most clicked, and from what sources?

If I convert all my articles from text to Image, can I avoid google's strict duplicate policy?

Thank you, from your answer, I guess you are one of the PRO's!

Don't worry about ALL the rival sites. Find your big dogs, use a few of them(some only give partial snippets in RSS to combat RSS auto blogging). Also search the terms you want to target: "celebrity scandal" and go to page 2, look for small sites and see if they site unique sources, justanually dig around.

Click bait titles are BIG for social media clicks, if you try to track who/what gets others the most clicks, you're behind the curve.

Don't fret over the "Google duplicate" issue. Leave it as text, because if you convert it to image, think how it will play out on different mobile devices. And there goes your mobile audience, which I've heard rumors that will someday be a big market.../sarcasm

Would you click on a pop-up ad in the background? Would you feel a site is legit that gives you background pop-ups? I know scandal sites aren't usually the most legit, but, maybe that could be what sets you apart.

Now get creative in your news. If you're going for scandals, and gossip, also find a few blogs that announce upcoming movies, even a blog that announces casting calls. Mix those in occasionally to give you a mix unlike other sites.

So you will keep matching titles?
So in Google you will have:
"Is The Rock sleeping with Mila Kunis"
"Is The Rock sleeping with Mila Kunis"
What makes them want to click?
    How about:
"Is The Rock sleeping with Mila Kunis"
"BREAKING: Is The Rock sleeping with Mila Kunis"
Now which is more likely to get an extra click, when you remove known site names.

So you're going to respin the content? Concerned with readibility? I don't spin anything. All my articles are posted under a header: "As reported on xxxxxx.com" with a link at the bottom: "source: xxxxx.com". I no-follow all external links, so I am not giving them quality backlinks. My visitors don't seem to care that I am gathering news from all over, I openly state that on my about page, I cally site a news aggregator, like Google News is.

I have never gotten a DMCA request, because I don't claim the content, I openly cite my source for the story, I even openly link back to their site. Seems to have negated any issues, I even use USA hosting.
