I'm skipping the details. I bought a dedicated server with 250 IPs and now I have to give them some technical justification so that they assign me the IPs. After a series of emails moving back and forth, I told them that I'm gonna run gaming servers (someone said it works). Now they want this - "If this is not the case and you do have an immediate need for at least 25% of the requested IP address space for the purpose of offering game servers, then we would just need for you to identify the specific application(s) (i.e. Counter Strike Source) that you intend to host and the port number(s) that the application(s) use (i.e. 27015)." I don't have much idea on running game servers. I would appreciate if someone could tell me what I should tell them now. By the way, if anyone's wondering, I don't need the IPs for any illegal purpose. I just don't want to tell them the real reason 'coz if I do then they'll charge an additional $2 for each IP.
