I need a VPS recommendation

I need a VPS asap.

I don't need anything too expensive or too crazy. For sure thought i really.

Any recommendations?

I have been using HostV (I had some uptime issues at first but smooth sailing for the last few months).
 
I've had a machine with vr.org . Aside from a routing issue I've had no problems.
 
Check out the guys at linode.com - they've got an awesome system to control the servers and the uptime has been decent so far.
 
I use VPSlink and I don't have any issues with them. You should be comfortable with SSH though.

So i went to that forum and was looking at some VPS accounts... I found one that was attractive to me (best specs - cheap). For my own purpose i need it for email marketing.... would this be a wise choice?

Hey Siek, here's what I'd do if I were you. I would get my notepad or word file and I would browse around a lot on that sub-forum and pick the best offers copying and pasting them into the notepad. At first you're pasting this and that but you start to see a pattern, the specs, the quality-money ratio and you begin to get better at spotting the better deals. Grab the best into notepad one by one and then when you have "teh" list get yourself a glass of water, come back and go with your list and see which of those is best. You could also try emailing all those companies to see how their response rate is. Bear in mind their location though.

I have my VPS hosted with knownhost... They are excellent!
They answer support tickets very fast, the uptime is veryyyy good!

But, if you are looking for the cheapest you can get, this is not for you.

Remember, you get what you pay for!
 
I held back my recommendation but don't overlook WiredTree. They have been very good to me, first name basis with a couple of guys in the backroom
 
I bought one on Lion*Load a few days back (listed on the forum above). It was ready in minutes, and you have to love that they allow up to 32 IP addresses...
