I am a small business owner in the transportation industry. I own a car carrier and deliver cars to dealerships, snowbirds, military etc. I just paid to have a wesite built for my brokerage. It was just finished last month. I have advertised on google adwords and yahoo so far. I have thrown away some good money for my learning curve and need to go back on the road to make some cash to try different options. I see that I need a pro to help in getting me the type of traffic it will take to keep this going. As far as I can tell the keywords in my industry come at a high price.

Use a good PPV Company

Bid on keywords that relate to your business and bid on all your competitions website domains.

By doing this it will pop your website over all your competitions websites, as well as if someone types in a keyword your website will pop up..

are you only doing business across your state or do you go to others as well.
going after keywords depends on a lot of things, like the key word your using, how your site is set up, links to your site, traffic that you already have.

If you want pm me and I will take a look at your site and let you know what I would charge to get you to the top of your key words.

You may want to start contacting dealerships directly. Focus on the larger ones first. That will cut down on your expenses significantly although it will increase the amount of time you are putting into your business. Getting in with a couple large dealer groups could be extremely profitable for you though.

Big G,

PPC companies like google and yahoo going to cost you way to much money to promote your site/business however its a useful tool.
But is it worth spending .50 cents to 2 bucks a click.

A PPV (pay per view) company it will cost you way less plus you can bid on domains. Which is your competitions websites.. for like .01 cent a view
and what that means is if someone goes to your competition your website pops right over their site and it only cost you .01!

Granted alot of the PPV companies dont have the traffic the big boys do but for the money its worth it.

Here is some to try

Traffic Vance
Linksador
Media traffic
Zango(lead impact now)
cpv direct

that will get your started you can join all those and get a ton of high quality traffic from those sites and spend 1000's less in the long run then using google and yahoo or any other PPC company

Fuck the click force the view!

PM me if you need me to help guide you..

Back from Denver Colorado feeling lucky to be alive! Weather sucked -12 degrees

You can PM me about your site and I do some analysis to your site..

Big G,
I have worked for a transport company with 200 plus trailers and I know you are going on the wrong direction.
From my experience you should only use you site like a business card (only to show your products and have your contacts). Those are the only things that a site can do in this market segment.
Investing on google or any other program is a waste of money!
Invest on a subscription of a on-line professional market (a site were the companies [clients]post the transportation offers/needs). This is the only way that you will make money out of the web.
In my case, our trucks moved around all Europe doing transports only by replying to on-line offers. It represented around 88% of the company work. The remaining work came from regular customers and mouth-to-mouth references.
regards
