Hi I was wondering if if was possible that someone directs me to a keyword research tool.

All i need is some sort of software in which I enter a keyword and tells me how many times that keyword was entered in google in the last weeks for e.g. that's all.

I don't want to have to go subscribe for no websites and paying just for an api key.

in google it is impossible to know the amount of searches. Google trend can give you an idea, but you should know how to use them.
You can chech this tool here which compares alternatively wordtracker and overture

Very old dated, but it gives you an idea between the relationship among different searches. They are mainly based on yahoo search engine. If you want the google results, i would say multiply by a factor of 8 :D

I basically don't care much about the actual figure.

What I'm trying to do is see which misspelled word is searched for most in a particular niche.

I first search with the actual keyword and see the results and then research with the misspelled words and find the best ones :p

It doesn't have to be google. Yahoo is good too.

    Sparky,

You might find SEOBook's keyword tool very useful:
    http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword/#results

Gives you mo. estimates for Google, MSN & Yahoo. Gives you trend data. estimates of CPC + number of clicks per day and a whole lot of other info.

Here's a great keyword tool its in beta at the moment and for the time being free but the word is if you register now when it goes to the paid version you'll still have it for free with updates, give it look l use it a lot its fast powerful and a little different from the rest...

Here's how l use it to make quick money, keyword research can take a long time to mine the very best words, use keywordelite and l do can take overnight to get me a list of 10.000 keywords which l still have to work on, instead put your primary keyword in google or the search engine of your choice or even someones site that is a social network like squidoo or hubpages and get the url from the first listing in the organic listings on page one and go and put it in www.seodigger.com.

Seodigger will rip through any webpage or website and strip them of all of the keywords they are using, just work smart not hard and use their keywords against them for your articles content etc.

You'll know which keywords do their op page optimization, which they use for their content, which they use for their articles, it does not get any easier than this have fun regards nicho

That data is based purely off the overture keyword tool, which stopped updating data after january.

    NOT RECOMMENDED
