Any idea on how to do this?

For example; I have BeyondHosting VPS -- I have 50-100 domains, but I don't like linking my new domains to "hns1.beyondhosting.net" as I feel it leaves a footprint when I create say ad accounts. I'm sure you could just "ping domain.com" and get the same host ip which may be the same thing, even if I did a private DNS -- but is there a way to have a custom DNS for each domain that would be easy to setup? With beyondhosting, or elsewhere even?

Most of the domains providers allows you to register your nameservers directly from their panel (ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com)
Both would resolve to your hosting IP, so if all your domains are on the same IP, it is still a footprint. (ping domain.com would still show the host IP)

If it is still the road you want to take, the steps are to register your nameservers at your provider, contact your web hosting provider to have them change your DNS zones on the server to make it suitable with your private nameservers and then push the nameservers at the registrar level to make them active.

Now, regarding your concern, IP addresses for your websites is what you are looking for.

Why you ask about hosting provider? Just you must manage DNS at domain registrar (like Godaddy, Network Solutions etc) - all they accept custom DNS

You can also consider using cloudflare. Using cloudflare you can also hide your DNS details.

You can also use findmeavps.com free service that will help you to make a notion on the hosting services market and choose the best VPS host.
