Check out some alternate monetization routes other than adsense. Maybe text link ads?

Starting a tech blog NOW days, is like just hearing about the original iPhone yesterday. A little late to hope for huge money on it.

I am not bashing your idea at all, blogging is great, but you have to find a niche that people seek daily to solve problems they face. Money is in the pain of others and their search to eliminate it... not in recreating TechCrunch.

Well, first you need traffic, second, you need monetization. We don't know how's your traffic like, and how you monetize your site besides Adsense. More details needed. And tech blog is in fierce competition. Find a good niche first.

    Hi Simon,

I've been blogging since 2009 and use Adsense to monetize it. What I found is that, it is not that easy to earn money from blogs. But what made me continue blogging is that I learned new things out of it.

Now, I am earning money using my blogging experience working for other people. And it makes me a living out of it as a freelance blogger and internet marketer.

if your blog has a good pagerank you can sell post or sidebar links.

Adsense will not give you enough money. you should have minimum 5k visitors per day to get a decent income out of adsense.

if your website has a excellent power you can provide post or sidebar backlinks. Adsense will not provide you enough cash. you should have smallest 5k visitors per day to get a affordable income out of adsense.
