Hello,

We probably all have a footer with a "contact page" "about page" and "privacy page".

Since I've read almost everywhere that it's not a good practice to nofollow internal links, and that I've seen decrease in rankings when I did it...

I just thought that maybe instead of three page on the footer, I could create a unique page that would link to those three pages.

What do you think about that?

I'm going to test it, but I would really like to know what do you think about it beforehand!

Never tested that, I am curious too.

I think it would do the same thing though. There's no way it can be better or worse.

I might be wrong but first let's see what you get.

@GainTheImpossible I'll keep you updated here!

@crystalwiz Oh! That's a good point! I didn't thought about user experience, thanks! I'm wondering if it's that important, because I have almost no trafic on about/privacy page, but I do have multiple contacts

I don't think this is best for user experience. But test it and let's see page rank-wise.
I think you need to revisit your site if you care so much about user experience on "contact", "about" and "privacy" pages; I guess they rank well for you.

I think you misunderstood what I said and what OP meant. By user experience, I mean people want to quickly find the contact info, privacy etc. They know where exactly to find these asap- footer. OP was saying he is going to test removing them altogether but one from the footer. The remaining one on the footer will link to the rest of the pages that were removed.

Why is OP testing this out? He wants to ******** the pages since Google frowns at dofollowing footer links. Then see whether it will help SEO of the pages.

OP will you ******** the one footer link or nofollow it?

Suggestions: OP you may want to do an A/B testing of nofollow and ******** of two new websites' footer links. Play with these and let's know the results of ranking in maybe 3 to 4 weeks. Good luck.
