If you didn't know ANY of this, then why did you sign up?????

You can be a publisher if you have your own e-product...but most likely, you will be promoting other peoples products as an affiliate and get a commission on the sales.

-Go to the Marketplace section of the clickbank website.
-Find products that will appeal to the traffic that you will be targeting.
-create a "hoplink" with your clickbank ID
-promote the link any way you know how.

    Good luck.

You want to place ads relevant to the topic your web site covers on your web site. You can do this on a per page basis if covering multiple topics. Ads about bees on pages about bees and so forth.

If you can publish your ads on someone else's site with strong targeted traffic for a good price, go for it. One of my favorite quotes recently, and this is something I picked up on this board, "Don't pay for anything on the internet".

Pic a product, think of about ten keywords related to that product like "zombie repellent" "zombie spray" "zombie mace" "zombie protection". Then go ahead and research the amount of traffic you would be able to get should you be in the top ten listings on the big G and also how much competition you will have in your way to getting there. There are a plethora of tools to help you with this, you will have to search around the forum a bit but it shouldn't be too hard. It is important to do this grunt work because it will help you form a firm foundation.

Oh, you are the affiliate, the publisher is the person who's product you are advertising.

    Congratz and good luck.

Thanks much. I actually did some research on this and decided to go Route 3. I'll pick my product with high traffic targeted around good keywords and build my site around it.

    Thanks
