It maybe just luck because the sample size isn't large, but it may help someone so thought I'd share. As you can see it dropped on or about 27th april (the day penguin rolled out on G.com.au). Before Penguin the site was #4 and has now returned from somewhere in the 200's to #9. This site is tourism related and had original content on home page and menu pages, with the actual product pages copying content from the individual tour operators. This is what I have done. About may 1st I starterd building links to the site again with some high quality blog networks - not public and not a service. about 10 days ago I rewrote the entire site - 25 pages (even the pages that had original content) I did not touch/rename/alt tag any images. about 5 days ago I gave it one in content homepage link from my PR5 auth travel site. (this site wasn't really hit by penguin and has maybe 10-20 outbound links in 600+ pages) I'm thinking point 3 was the one to make it move, although it was the one I was most hesitant about doing. You can see the dance this caused in the stats above.
