If you want a great gaming pc you are probably going to have to fork over more than that.

If you want to play games decently you can get a WAY better price. As the other guy said check ebay and look out for deals.

Also if you don't want to pay a lot of money you probably shouldn't be building your own like that anyways.

Damn, that's pricey as heck. I bet if you put together the prices of components it would cost you a lot less. Then again maybe you just have such high prices down in the UK

edit: oh, right, the cpu is about a grand, but still. Why do you have such a crappy graphics and such a nice cpu?

You can install abuntu on ps3.
Ps3 has a cell processor that owns every other processor out.
And it's just a fraction of the price.

Roll your own PC, save hundreds.

Putting together PC parts is like the world's easiest LEGO kits with only 10 parts. Really, save your money and do it yourself.

well ati does have the best video card on the market right now but the only thing that draws people back are their drivers.

    nvidia drivers are really stable.

    **puts on flame retardant suit**

If you have that kind of money to piss away on a piece of equipment to play games and/or play it enough hours to feel it justifies the cost then you gotta come up from the basement, get out of your 3 day sweatpants, get in the shower and go outside. Yeah, that big yellow thing in the sky...yeah, that's called sunlight. Oh look, you have neighbors and they don't even look like avatars.

I'm not gonna flame you, but just because you play games doesn't mean you are some 40 year old sloppy fat guy living in mom's basement. Gaming is a hobby like any other. As long as you enjoy your life who cares :)
