Hi everyone, I'm trying to get my site back up on SEO, but I don't see how writing an original article a day and posting it to my blog is going to help. After I write the article what do I next? I pinged the url of the article with pingler and bookmarked it with digg. I can't afford Bookmarking demon nor services that will do the bookmarking for me. I do have scrapebox, but I don't want to get sandboxed again, and I have enough high backlinks as it is. It's just really confusing

Keep doing it. Don't lose faith.

Don't spin; write what you know. Original articles, bookmarked on other sites, and linked through different web portals will bring consistent traffic in the long term.

Forget about the tools. Buy 'em when you make money out of your site. :)

Writing an article a day and posting it to your blog and digging it won't get you ranking. You were right to have doubts.

Write an article a day and post it to a web 2.0 site with a link back to your site then do a scrapebox blast to it. That will get you ranking. Backlinks are the key to ranking.

When you post an article on your site use a services like ping.fm, onlywire, and imautomator to bookmark to more sites than just digg.

1 year is a big time and if you are writing an article everyday it equals 365 posts on your blog. 365 posts should bring in tons of traffic even with minimal link building provided you haven't messed up your keyword research and all your content is original.

I'm just starting an article a day now. My site I have now is page rank 2, but it's not ranking for its keyword. Right now it has about 4 posts, and I deleted all my spun content posts.

I am actually doing the opposite now.

I used to post 1 article a day on my site and send it through various backlinking channels. (Never really ranked anything this way. sites reached 100+ pages of unique content with merely 60-100 UV a day)

However, I find my sites doing much better now that I post 1 very high quality article to my site per week, write 4-6 unique articles, post them to web 2.0 pointing back to my site article. And sending the web 2.0s for scrapbox, amr, linkpush (just started) and wiki blasts. I guess just scrapebox would be fine too, it wont have the same link power by itself but if you have a nice sb list you can still do pretty well.

this is a VERY good idea. i've used it and it works plus it protects you from being sandboxed

Hahah, Common trap. You think adding articles that are never going to have backlinks are going to get you to rank for your main keyword?

Get building some backlinks and rank that main keyword. If you can't rank it. Sell the domain and move on.

Don't go building articles for the hell of it. You'll end up with 365 pages of garbage with no backlinks... and totally unrelated long tail junk that doesn't convert.

1 thing at a time. Do something useful, Get the sucker to rank.

You should have decided if this site was worth it at the 90 day mark.

Haaahaahha...glad you find that funny -_- But anyways, I needed some more content anyway.

What I plan to do tomorrow:
Create an OG article with my keyword as anchor text and submit it to ezine - once it gets approved - blast that web 2.0

Then I'm going to write another article, spin it, and then submit it to a lot of article sites using a trial of Senuke.
Also post some more spins of that article and post them to web 2.0s with my keyword as anchor text. Then I'm going to blast those sites.

Hopefully this gets me somewhere :D - I've read delspon's thread and it really has inspired me

Thanks for commenting too - I've ranked for it before so I know I can do it again. It just confuses me that my competitor is #1..my PR is higher than his and I have more backlinks lol

If you can't pay for bookmarking service then you can do these manually yourself for free. Of course it would take time, but pretty much the only thing if you don't want to spend some money :)

Content creation is important but you won't get anywhere with the methods you are using.

Try to save up some cash somehow and get some SEO tools if you aren't into manual linkbuilding.

If you already have scrapebox, scrape some high PR pages and get to work!
