Start with Google and then come back with specific questions.

To help you we need to know what you are trying to accomplish. Affiliate marketing? Blogs? Autoblogs? CPA? The biggest problem everyone faces in your position is lack of focus. The second biggest problem is finding out why you lack focus. Some people cannot resist the latest make money in 24 hours offer so they drop what they've been doing for 3 months when it's 99% finished and try something else. Other people just do not have a business plan.

Ask yourself the question: if you were to write a 3 page business plan of what you are trying to do and show it to a potential investor, would he take it seriously? Would you make it to the second meeting? Or could you even write a 3 page plan?

You need to know where you're going. Tell us EXACTLY what you want to get done. Niche (body building, dog training), vehicle (affiliate marketing, drop shipping, CPA), how much traffic, source of traffic, cost of traffic (can be free), sales target, margins... you get the picture.

Until you can answer all these questions then you can't focus on building web sites.

    My two cents' worth.

I hired people as I learned.

I just did my first complete website for my daughters preschool a few weeks ago.

w3schools is a good place to start to learn basic tags. when you have something up on a website, go in and change stuff, You will learn when you save it and it dont work anymore, or you messed up the tables.

If you are learning on your own it can be a long process. if you can take classes even better.

There are videos you can watch that are even better.

but basically take a template and play with it and learn. Look at the tags, look them up on google or w3schools and find out how they work.

there are too many tools that you can use to make websites learning too much code is pointless, But you need to know how to tweek them.

    Start by the easy/important steps:

1- Learn how to manage WP or Joomla scripts (editing themes, adding content ...), that's easy and you won't need to learn PHP or SQL .... etc.

2- Learn how to upload to your hosting account and how to use CPanel.

after that you can learn other operations...

Google ask most of your questions. In torrents you can find trainings such as Total Training or Lynda training for every popular tool that a webmaster needs.

What is your goal? Then figure out what needs to be done to accomplish it.

Use the search function, focus, learn as you go along, and ask questions. More action than reading. I am nowhere an expert and am still learning but that's what I have been doing. Lastly, don't forget to have fun in the process. Just my 0.2 cent. :D

    You should do:
    1. Install local server on your computer using Xampp (google for download this).
    2. Learn CMS: Joomla, Wordpress, etc in your local server
    3. After you master it on your local server then move on to online server, you can use free web hosting or domain first for experiment like co.cc (domain) and freeweb7.com (hosting)
    4. Use Filezilla to upload the file to your online server.

    Hope it helps.

It's like anything else in IM... it takes practice to get better. I stumbled around for hours and hours when I first started making them. Now I can crank them out.
