Hey all :):):)

I run a blog (along with a co-writer) that has content relating to 'Starting Businesses in Today's Economy' etc...We started this as a hobby early last year and had no intention of making money from it, just wanted to write and learn about stuff.

Since we just broke 75,000 emails, I've read online that this number is big enough to start monetizing!
I've been looking at a few affiliate programs but can't seem to find a SUSTAINABLE product to sell to people. I know I can sell those shitty Clickbank offers but I'll lose my subscribers super quickly.

Question to my fellow black hatters! (That's what we're called right?)
What products could I potentially sell to this list of people who are seeking business opportunities? I'm thinking of getting an Amazon Associates account but I have no idea what products to link lol But I think A.A. is the best option...Ad Sense apparently pays too little :(

I would really appreciate any suggestions and will keep everyone updated on my progress!

-KZ

p.s. Please give me suggestions, even if you think they sound dumb! I'm new to this and you probably know a lot more than me :p

p.s.s Not sure if this makes a difference at all, but I also have their location (zip code) and an estimate of their liquid capital available at sign up!

Just work with your co-writer and develop a course that you sell for a few hundred bucks. Obviously the course would pertain starting a business, yeah you'd have to really stretch certain things as you advertise it but people have proven time and time again they are willing to spend 300 dollars on some dogshit course rather than put in the work. Make up some free ebooks of a dozen or so pages that do offer some decent info but really only exist to advertise why your course is so good.

If you're too lazy to develop a course then I suggest you AM business related tools and software, no one is going to buy a vacuum cleaner from a start your own business mailing list, but they may buy 10 dollar ebooks or some software that is advertised to jumpstart their business.

Start a paid membership at $3-$9/mo. Executed even somewhat correctly, you'll be making $10k+mo right away. Next best option is to create a high-ticket course($299-$499) and promote that, but that is much harder and possibly less profitable, depending on your product quality, refund rate and marketing/copywriting skills to sell the course. Whatever you choose, use a webinar funnel to promote it. Maybe look at Alex Becker's videos, he was making 200k a year just promoting a closed fb group membership a few years back.

Instead of any type of affiliate marketing, you're better off just using adsense, because it won't ruin your list's trust.

Cheers

Well,

1. my first thought was that you make a deal with a Business Loan service (as an affiliate) & next you can promote this "special offer" to your list. You can get very nice commissions in the biz loans niche... Hundreds of $ for client, on a minimum.
But, it works ONLY if you actually strike a deal that is exclusive to you. Otherwise your list can go online and find the Loan providers and check the deals they have.

2. The second idea is to promote (coin/forex/stocks) trading platforms (like etoro ...but there are so many to chose).

Thank you for the meaningful reply! I've never developed a course for anything in my life haha But it's probably worth learning how to!

Got any advice on how to start...? I think I should find a template or something first.

Hi Alexa!

Okay, you're the second person to suggest creating a course relating to the content. Would you happen to have any recommendations on where to find free templates for the (I presume you were thinking about) e-books?

And honestly, the paid membership sounds like a pretty solid plan, but I don't have a lot of money to get a web developer right now ☹️

Yeah, they're my subscribers. They're high quality so I could probably sell the list as well, but I don't want to do that haha

Haha, why would you sell that, haha, that wouldn't be funny to your subscribers, haha
Jokes aside, selling it would be a bad and you wouldn't be able to sell it for much

Do you send any periodic/weekly emails?
You can add there banners and monetize your emails with ads. Works similar to adsense banners, but in the email.
You can even use it along with affiliate links if you like.

Oh I never thought of that! I'll do some research into a few local finance organizations or something. I've heard that being an affiliate for business loans can definitely be lucrative. Thanks for the suggestion!

wich niche?

People seeking new business opportunities who have atleaat $10,000 saved up in liquid capital. They're mainly between ages 26 - 50 years old.

Please, use the multiquote feature (+Quote) next time: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-use-the-multiquote-feature-on-bhw.975670/

This feature is absolutely golden. Never knew about it before. Thanks for sharing it!!

Wait you don't think I could make a pretty penny by selling it? But the lost is very targeted and free from any fake or trap emails haha Do you know if there's a way to assess how much my list is worth?

To answer you, YES. I send out a monthly email to everyone of the list. I've considered a banner ad, but I'm a little scared that if might affect the deliverability of the email....maybe I'm paranoid haha

A pretty penny, yes, not a dollar haha. I don't know, maybe a couple hundred bucks is what you looking for and would be happy with haha, but you will do more harm to the list than money.

Haha, so you not scared or paranoid that using affiliate links or the selling list will affect deliverability? Haha, that's really funny, haha.

Nice, congratulations on your success. I wish I knew how to help, one of the things I'm just apparently bad at is email marketing. I have a lot of lists that are over 20k subscribers.. and I just can't sell anything to them it seems no matter how much i try! Good luck!

I watched a Neil Patel's video yesterday on how to create a digital product, here's the link:

He's talking specifically about how to make a killing with emails, do check it out because I learned so many things.

Good luck!

Well a course can be in any form you'd like, most people do it in video form with slides or video of themselves. or even in like a webinar format.
Really all it takes is (I assume you have some legit knowledge in this field) for you to just combine all of you and your partners collective knowledge into nice sounding fluff.
It doesn't have to be anything incredibly new or some crazy new technique. You just need to take all your real advice combined with pre-existing good advice and add your little twist to it. The course itself doesn't really matter but the marketing for the course is far more important. Just go around on google or youtube and look at these """"gurus"""" in various fields courses. You'll see very similar marketing for all of them, learn from them and modify it to fit your audience.

Oh no! Did you buy your lists? If so, where did you get it from? I'm considering selling my list as well but I have no idea how to find a buyer haha

You make a fair point! I'll start doing research into other industries. Thanks!

Look into affiliate marketing as well, very easy to set up and could probably lead to some easy money if you're advertising actually useful (and kinda cheap) business solution software or programs.
Basically it all comes down to getting better at advertising, you could sell literal garbage to people if you are good enough.

Any good product owners, even top ones would be interested in pitching to your big targeted list.
They would even create special offers, add more bonuses for your list.

Since you are in this niche, you should know who have good products to sell to your list. Or get some
high quality PLR products(not all PLRs are shit) or get try to get exclusive rights to good products,
rebrand, turn into audio video course, put it in a membership.

You can do a lot with your list.
