Hello all, I lurked around a bit and found great thoughtful intense conversations on this board and would humbly like to join the fray as a doe-eyed newbie in this world of making money off the internet. About myself, I work as a business analyst for one of the major financial institutions in Canada and I also co-own an escort agency (not that hard to do in Canada, plus pretty girls don't like guys without money, so the daytime job alone doesn't cut it). In my past I have DJ'd for about 12 years, worked in small business as well as corporate, have great accounting and finance knowledge, and I'm pretty good and video shooting and editing. I could go on but needless to say, I live by the credo "If the ladies don't find you handsome... they should at least find you handy" . I just bought a website that is an Escort Directory that specializes in the Fetish niche and has been in existence since 1999. It get's about 5,000 visitors per day without having to do any marketing based on only a dozen ads for fetish escort providers here in Ontario Canada. Because escorts get reviewed on discussion boards, and they do their own marketing, it drives traffic to the board to view their information. The other important thing to know is that, in the Greater Toronto Area (population of about 10MM people), the site ranks very high on Google. When you search "Fetish Escorts", it comes up #1. When you search "Fetish Escorts Toronto", it comes up #4. The previous owner did not have time to focus on the website and operated at the bare minimum of effort until he decided to sell it to me at a very nominal fee. My objective is to grow the number of advertisers who pay monthly to advertise on the site. I also want to add a blog which will have articles written by the advertisers. I would also like to add a current events page so that people who are looking for Fetish events wills tart to come to my site every week to see what's going on in the city. In consideration of all of this, I would like to take advantage of the traffic coming to the site by earning PPC and affiliate revenue without blowing up the site with banners. The advantage i see is that most of the traffic to the site are users who are interested in fetish, rather than just the general public, so it would be safe to say that the visitors would all have similar interests to the content. I would appreciate any feedback you have, as well as a good strategy to proceed. I am willing to put in the work and know it will take time and I'm a fast learner, I just would like to make sure I'm heading down the right track. Thanks in advance for your contributions, Cheers.
