I just bought a new domain. Should I make it an authority site or a click bank site?

I have just bought a new domain. I am wondering which will be more profitable: creating a niche authority site, or using it for a click bank like affiliate program. Thanks!

It doesn't have to be just one or the other. You can make an authority site and still promote clickbank products

I want to use a modified version of meatheads method though. Wouldn't that negatively impact SEO...?

Buying a Domain name doesn't make a business.
Authority sites take time, CB can be a steady source of income.
Which will be more profitable? Try both and find out.

Build the site first, gain traffic then worry about monetization.

If it's truly an authority website then you will want to focus on content and branding right now. Building up your social profiles and your website together, as that's essentially your foundation.

Get a professional logo, and set up your social profiles to have a unique design that represents your brand appropriately (custom FB page design, G+ cover image, twitter bg, etc).

Publish content as frequently as possible. Yes, content with images, embedded video, etc. Give the readers everything they need to see to make your page on the subject more valuable than other people's pages on the same subject.

Share the content, everywhere. But, do so in an engaging way. For instance, share your article in the appropriate G+ Group section, and write something engaging that makes your readers want to comment and like it. Say something only a human would say - and not something generic a human-made bot would say.

Make money with Adsense the entire way if you're already approved. When your traffic is good and you have a lot of real, targeted followers on your social profiles - then you can start considering the best ways to monetize your authority website. ClickBank may or may not be the best option. Search for affiliate programs for products that fit your audience. By now, you actually have an audience to make that decision.

    :)
