I hired a developer on the forum but he hasn't delivered and has now gone quiet

Hi,


I hired a forum member that replied to my thread below asking for someone to copy a site i had built using Wix's free website builder. Unfortunately he hasn't delivered and now has gone quiet. I've put in a PayPal dispute but I thought it best to notify the forum also so that he doesn't do the same to others.


All correspondence has been through PM's on the forum which i have detailed below. I haven't named names as i wasn't sure if this is the place to do it so i would apreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction and tell which admin/moderator i need to contact. Apologies if this is the wrong way to do this but i haven't been in this situation before.

I'm not sure yet if the animation will be the same.
I see that all images in there are using ajax, so if enough with static image, I will need only 1 day.

Yes static images are absolutely fine. They have only been built in ajax because that's what Wix's website builder uses. I just want a simple, static html site that i can host myself and make changes to in Dreamweaver.


Cool stuff, i will go for that then please. Let me know how you want paying. I normally use PayPal, do you have an account?

I'm still refining the CSS and optimizing it. Also trying not using google font as the web is using San Serif font.


I just woke up, sleep about 5 hour. Now I'm working on your web pages, I will finish withing hours. Sooner is better, but I'm also perfectionist . I'm doing my best for you.

Hi Name,


I have sent you several messages now and not heard anything back from you since Friday morning. Given that the site was meant to be delivered Friday evening, i am now starting to get concerned. If you needed more time it would have been fine but i would have expected you to have notified me of this.


If i haven't received the site or a full refund by tomorrow morning (Monday 11/06/2012 09:00 GMT), i will be forced to make a claim on PayPal and notify BHW site admins of my difficulties.

It was a 2 page static html site and they stated the price. The price people can deliver for obviously depends where they live and the cost of living there. If they have done a few sites like this before, it wouldn't take them long. It wasn't the lowest quote and i had several other quotes for a similar price.

What was more surprising was that it was a registered member with a fair few posts, quite a few thanks and a reasonable reputation.
