Ok guys,

so im in the fortunate position of being friends with some of my citys best dancers. These guys get together regularly and jam and i make videos of them which i post of youtube.

These videos usually get pretty good traffic, and consistent traffic.

How can I capitalise on this?

I know youtube has a profit share program but from what I see they dont approve everyone. It seems like its for higher volume eliteist users. Unlike adsense which any person can have.

Ive noticed some videos have adsense ads embedded in them. I take it these are the people approved in this program?

Is there some way I can make revenue, from what so far is a pretty reliable traffic stream. Or is the only way I can make money if i create my own new site.

I know metacafe has a CPM program were they pay $5 per 1000 views I think?

AdSense for YouTube video you will only get if you have huge traffic.

Well with dancing videos, you could have more options, if you make your own site.

Or if you have say Hip-Hop dancing vids, put a affiliate-link in the description who takes them to a Hip-Hop shop with clothes..

Only you know the best what to do with it - you know the dancers, you made the video.

Think what the people who whatch your videos, could need !

You can try posting that same video on flixya, flixya has high pr, and you get 100% ad revenue. Blip.tv also has advertising options, but the revshare is less than 100%

FilthyCro, you say that your videos already have good traffic (i.e. good steady viewers). Then aim to capitalise the traffic that you have coming for a product or affiliate program.

You are in a fortunate position.......for many the issue is generating traffic. Now you already have that, all you need to do is USE THE TRAFFIC :)

An easy one would be dance lessons affiliate programs or something like that

Or "Meet this GREAT dancers in PERSON" tagline with an affiliate link to a dating program/site

Anything goes, you may be sitting on a potential goldmine. Just don't rely on the paid to view programs alone as they pay "peanuts" compared to what you could be generating from you already great traffic.
