i am getting back to SEO game after awhile and I have learned quite a few things from this thread as well as from backlinko. However, I am still confused about several details.

1. I am using wordpress and occasionally I would want to update the article. For example, an article that I publish today (28 June),I might update it tomorrow (29 June). Should we display the updated date on the article post or will it have no impact on SEO whatsoever? For example: we display both like this:
"article created on June 28, 2022"
"article last updated on June 29, 2022"

or should we just mention last update instead of date of creation? I figure out many wordpress themes dont even have option to display "last updated", so we need a plugin for this?

2. in backlinko they mentioned that your images should not be stock image and need to be original, but since i am not a designer, how are you guys able to upload original images for every single one of your article? or do you just slightly edit them and add some additional colors in the corner, or what?

3. i want to ask about interlinking (linking between your internal pages), let's say you have page A that you want to rank for your primary keywords. how many interlinking to page B and page C and so on that you need to have from page A? (again, page A is the main page you aim to rank, how many internal outbound links that you need to have for other pages in the same domain?)

4. same question as number 3 above but for external links. I have quite a few external links (6) for all the good resources on my page A that I aim to get good rankings for. Is there any specific number you aim to be considered "enough but not too much"?

Thanks!

1. It's fine if you mention it like "last updated on.."

2. BS, a lot of pages rank fine with stock images

3. It depends

4. Also depends

thanks bro, also how about using AI content writer like peppertype, will it help or a big no since google might be able to detect them in the future?

I don't know peppertype, but I use Jarvis myself on multiple projects and no issues so far.

This is a bit controversial at the moment whether Google can detect AI content or not.

I personally I think as long as you do some proofreading and editing so the content is nice to read and provides value, there should be no issues.

Depends on if the article is something time-dependant or not

If you are talking about a cooking recipe, it's useless
If you are talking about sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell today 28th of June 2022, then it's better to have a recent date than a 2 years old date... (meaning freshness).

Problem is that sometimes there are articles in the line of freshness and evergreen content and it's kind of difficult to spot if you are in or out that line: this is why many people recommend changing it regardless of your content... just in case.
