Hi fellow members of BHW. Being a vendor is something that has been in my mind for the last weeks. I´m currently making decent money on the affiliate side, so I would not mind to make an investment ir order to launch some kind of product.

If you go to clickbank marketplace , you can find "simple products" that have a good gravity, and the design of the sites are not something spectacular:

    http://www.reverse-diabetes-today.com (15 gravity)

http://www.psoriasisfreeforlife.com (this one has around 80 gravity!!)

    http://www.urticariahivestreatment.com (21)

So It seems that If you can create an ebook with valious information you can sell , or better said, affiliates will sell it for you. I belive the money in the long run is on vendor side.

I would start from 0, What do I need? Powerfull hosting? English native person to write the content? Girl to make a video? How does the security work in order to protect the download link? Articles, videos, email templates for affiliates?

I personally love the design of the product below: (the video stops all the time, but I still like it)

    http://www.metaboliccooking.com/index.php (30 gravity)

How much it will cost me to create a product like this one? (It does not have to be in the weight loss niche)

    Please vendors, share your experiences!

    thanks!

It depends the product you want to create, is it a physical product, digital etc.. And then it depends weather you outsource or do most the work on your own. In other words the price will vary dramatically. but you are on the right track owning the product is the way to make much more money. Expecially if your sending traffic to someone elses offer thats converting Now your sending it to you own along with 100 of other affiliates. And getting a bigger slice of the pie.

First of all, check this out.

    https://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&pws=0&q=Product+Creation+filetype:PDF

    Some VERY useful information.

Second of all, you MUST make sure you protect your product, or it WILL get pirated, ironically, like Metabolic Cooking.

Third, outsorce, but do it smart. Split the tasks and it will cost you much much less.

Fourth, you must make sure to minimize returns as much as possible. Ways to do that is by making the ebook pretty, making it high quality, and OVERDELIVERING on the back end. Successful businesses are those who exceed their client's expectations at least twofold. Ask meathead.

Fifth, you MUST provide a high comission - atleast %70. Being a vendor is a numbers game. You will make a ton of money even though you only get 30% if you play your cards right.

Sixth, you MUST provide your affiliates with tools and methods. For more info, either PM me, or visit the affiliate section of M Society. That is how it's done.

Seventh - make absolutelyu sure your site is simple and professional and good looking. A bad design will not only turn clients away, but affiliates as well.

Eight, do not be afraid to invest in quality graphics. Professionally done graphics WILL go a long way. Trust me, I am a graphics guy.

Ninth, you must provide your affiliates with support. Good support means much, much more sales.

Tenth, do it legitimately. Don't just rehash something, provide quality content that people need. If you try to scam your way through clickbank, it wil catch up to you on the long run.

I never touch a product with more than 5% refunds.

Note: I know OTrap does and he is making a lot more than me though, so there is definitely a second side to this story.

Eleventh: Be smart and plan ahead. Make a business plan for your product, calculate investments and expected revenue. Then sleep on it. Wake up and rewrite it.

    Twelfth: Good luck!

Many thanks for your response. (Rep given, as well;)) I´m sure this thread could help other people who thinking to create a product starting from 0, just like me. So everyone is invited to ask questions and vendors to tell us about their experiences or stories.

More or less this is my plan:

    1) I will get someone to design the site. I found some designers online, by the way, If any of you are making a living from designing, send me a PM and I will tell you more or less what I need. It will be something like the common copysale on clickbank, with the exit discount coupon before leaving the site. Tell me if you can create the whole structure, protecting the download link and all that stuff.

    2) Content: I will problably go for the health niche. A friend of mine is a doctor and he´s written some books.

    3) Content Translation: Native english speakers from fiverr. I recetly got some of them and I was very satisfaced with the work they delivered. Obviously I will offer pretty much than 5 dollars.

    Some questions:

    - A gravity of , let´s say, 30 .Does it mean more than 30 recent sales from 30 different affiliates? I ask this because I saw some products with that number or even higher and the copysale is not anything from another world.

    - I saw some product creators who sign like "medical researchers" so It´s understood they are not real doctors , right? I mean, do you have to be a licensed doctor to launch a clickbank health product?

    - Pdf creation: How can I make it look proffesional? How many pages does a clickbank product normally have?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

It means 30 distinct affiliates made a sale at agiven pint in time. Gravity will go down if no sales have been made. Every new affiliate who makes a buck gives +1 to the gravity. There is much more to gravity than that, but let's just say that the higher the gravity, the higher the chance some new affiliates who only look at gravity will promote your product.

Yes, basically you don't have to be certified, but that gives additional credibility. You can say that the book has been co authored by a doctor with 78 PHDs (your friend).

Widely depends on the product. Usually around 100 pages is the average from what I've seen. But sum go more and some go less. Smart vendors will split 100 pages into 5 "products" of 20 pages and sell them as a whole problem solving package. That is a double edged sword and can be dangerous if your product is associated for not being worth the money. You can cover that by following the instructions from my previous post.

Include HQ pictures, write in a good font, make it easy for the eyes, have a sense of humor (if applicable) making people laugh can earn you a TON of money. Ask Kevin Hart.

    Good luck!

    Thanks again for that information!.
My journey starts by having a look on the marketplace. I will spend a few days reading copysales to learn marketing techniques. I know weight loss niche is saturated as well, even though I would like to give a try.

I will keep this post updated.

    Thank you all!

Don't forget the sales letter! A good sales letter can be the difference between success and failure. I don't know how talented you are yourself in this matter, but I would advice you to ask someone who's doing it on a daily basis. Basically, it can be the best product in the world, but if the sale letter is bad....sales will be low!

    Good Luck! :)

This is a very good point. Your products actual value doesn't come into play until after the sales letter so imo it's the most crucial step of the whole process. Perceived value is a hell of a thing...

Good sales copy isn't going to come cheap. You can try this forum, I think there are some seriously seasoned vets here. Short of that, maybe trying a freelancing site like Elance?

Fiverr is not the place for the sales copy. A cheap source will give you a cheap result...that's just how it works. I would say that you should be able to find a good sales letter writer for about $200. This may sound like a lot, but it really is not. Sales letter is super important...and not something you should go easy on. I can happily direct you to some good copywriters who can do this for you around the price mentioned. PM me if you are interested.

Good sales copy is super expensive...really good guys charge $5000 and up. Also the really good video like animiated or like with the girl talking can end up costing well over 5000 as well. I am making my own product right now and want to be able to promote it on adwords myself. I know that if I use anything a copywriter will write then they will never allow it as it will by too hyped up. Thats why most CB products dont work with adwords.

Vendor is where the money and control is. That is what I used to do. I would run an offer as affiliate and if it made sense would create my own product.

Keep in mind there is no need to reinvent the wheel. What I did was custom design website and new sales copy, banners etc than hired a copy writer to rewrite the ebook. Had few products.

Actually I am thinking of bringing one back to life, its in Green Niche Alternative Energy etc. I'll shoot you a pm.
