Alright, so here is the small description, I post online, I get emails, I respond to them and convince them to do a cred check

ALL the people do who reach out to me is: They go to a cred report website and get a credit report (trial) That's it, they don't pay anything, and they aren't giving ME their information, it's a legit website. They just do affiliates and I've found a way to trick hundreds of people into completing the offer.

My fear is being charged legally that's why I'm here talking to you guys, does anyone have an opinion on whether or not this is too dangerous to pursue?

Well, I think I know your MO. As long as you're not charging them fees, then it should be ok. But, check the state laws in relation to this niche.

If they don't cancel the trial within 7 days they do get charged, but not initially.

In any part of the process you mention to the people that after 7 days they will be charged?

I have recently been on craigslist trying to find homes to rent and this scam is seriously everywhere. It's actually super annoying when you think you find a nice home you want to rent but then get the same copy-paste email saying they need to do a credit run before anything. Will craigslist crack down on this? Who knows.

Negative - I let them know it's a trial but I do not explicitly state "you will be charged after 7 days"

In the USA the FTC cracked down on people doing that a few years ago. People still use that method though and many CPA networks are aware it is going on but look the other way.

Odds are you will not get in trouble as they usually hit the big boys but you are still walking a fine line. I know a lot of guys that stopped working those kinds of methods a few years ago because of the FTC crackdowns though.

Nice revenue you are generating so you are on to something; I'd be careful though so that you do not cross any lines that piss off the wrong people.

I used to do this about 4-5 years ago. I was making $5000 a month from this on Craigslist then it started getting harder and harder
to post and respond to emails. Never got busted by my CPA company but I eventually moved on to something safer.

It was fun and lucrative while it lasted. Today I probably wouldn't be able to get away with it.

Be worried about the CPA network finding out; or one of the customers contacting the advertisor (Credit Check Website) saying "Why did i get charged money!"

and then the advertisor asking "Why did you do it? How did you end up on our website?"

And then they are like "This craiglists ad"

Boom you're caught, money not paid to you....possibly fined for breaking some law.

Thank you all who have responded, it is sincerely appreciated, I do believe I'd rather make a website and get it to rank well and do affiliate links/cpa offers/and adsense. Thank you all once more.

I would not kick it to the curb completely... you have found a process to get people to respond. Find ways that will work for you to make cash with some adjustments so you are not having to concern yourself with outside entities causing you issues.

Hmmm I have an idea to possibly really cash out from this idea

I made a bot that reposts ads automatically onto kijiji (canadian version of craigslist)

using your idea + bot for posting ads + an automatic email responder + vpn you COULD potentially clean up a lot but theres a lot of risk with feds and shit, so even though you would make more money, you ultiamtely attract more heat

If I were you I'll be worrying that CPA networks won't find out.

It's not necessary to mention that clearly to peoples , add this as a small gudelines or TOS at the footer of one of ur email/website .
then if we supposed you get caught you have the proof !

Is there anything in the TOS of the offer that says you're unallowed to do this type of promoting? If not, then you should be safe.

Alternatively you can go with a CPA network and they will either make you stop the traffic or handle any issues that might arise from your actions.

Go and register a server in a 3rd world country and pay buy bitcoin
then only accept bit coins as a payment only

Get a good set of proxies to hide your self on a firefox browser.

    deal done

Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system
