I have been asked A LOT of sensive questions in the last few days

During tet holiday (chinese new year) I have been asked a lot of sensitive questions about my private life.
"How much money you make in this year", "Do you have girl friend", "Which company do you work for" , "when will you get married". It's fine to answer these questions politely but they kept asking and comparing me to some geniuses sons. How can I deal with these people if I dont want to loose their face?.

This is pretty common :D

First understand, these people meet you 1-2 times a year and they don't have anything else to talk but this.

So most of them will tease you or tell you about their offsprings.

Some of them will just tell you about a random person doing good... (My relative said that his friend's son got admission in Harvard, pretty useless info)

My sister is getting married so everyone thinks that I am next. So I get asked "where's your girlfriend" "when are you getting married" a lot these days.

So I make it funny for myself. Eg: "I have 3 girlfriends, and it's really difficult to choose. I think I will have to dump them all and ask for your recommendation"

It's funny af.

So enjoy those questions and answer whatever comes in mind :P

If your parents are asking then you will just have to talk to them... That's all :)

lol it's ok to answer 2,3 people but getting asked the same questions for 40 - 50 times is a different story. I have an idea about selling t-shirt having slogan "do not ask shitty question please".
 
I thought this thread was about some guys trying to hack your account by doing a forgot password reset with your personal information. :eek::eek:

My family always asks me questions I don't like, so I just stopped going to family events until they stopped asking! The moment they ask, I leave!

Well just reply to them if they still continue to ask them say that they have asked you a milion time

I worked for a scam company before but I quit after 5 days. They taught me using website to pick random white girl name to do ewhoring. I'm still using the username and email until now.

Well,my advice would be just to answer their questions with simple short answers or ‚yes‘ / ,no‘. Be confident without being rude.
Ex. ‚when will you get married?‘ - ‚I don’t know‘ No further explanation needed.

While you're at it, design a shirt with your FAQ on one side and put "Live chat support at www.yourblog.com" on the other, where you set up a chatbot with AI, which can answer basic questions. lol

Asks how to avoid family to not lose their faces when most people here are westerns who DO NOT UNDERSTAND the concept of losing face or that there are questions you should not ask...

Long story short:

Politely smile to them and ask them: "why do you want to know?...(long pause) anyway how is everything going with you?"

Lie. Or ingnore. Don't like the conversation you are in, is not useful nor entertaining? Walk away, just say I gotta go, nothing else and ignore all they say. It's easy
