Hello All,
I had a really interesting offer thrown at me a few weeks back, and it finally is confirmed and ready to go. It is Internet Marketing related so I promise not to bore you guys too much
A few times a semester I speak at 2 local colleges regarding running a computer consulting business and I usually offer some tips and tricks to the students regarding ways to make some extra cash with their private computer consulting work etc....
Well someone brought up SEO, and asked me what I knew about it. I am no expert with IM and SEO yet, but I do know that I am certainly proficient enough in White hat to speak my part about it. To sum it up I spoke for about an hour on the topic, and everyone got into it and I suppose they saw some potential in some of the stuff I said.
A week later I get a phone call and they want to me teach local small business owners at the college the very basics of how to get their business online and do some very, very basic SEO work on their current or future web sites...
This is all very exciting for me and all but I have a question for you guys and would value your opinion. I do not want to reccommend any offline SEO books to anyone in that I feel they get outdated quickly... How would you handle a group of 20 potential Internet Marketers who are listening to everything you have to say. (Talk about a targeted audience) I was considering putting together a 150-200 page guide for them and offering it to them at the end of each class (I will be teaching new groups every few weeks for the semester).
What else (ethically) would you guys suggest that I recommend? I am seriously not trying to suggest anything they do not need, but I would like them to leave there with the best tools for the best prices. Any advice?
Thanks in advance for any opinions you all could provide!
All the best,
Jeff
