I have a competitions based site (theprizemarket.com)

I made this site a while ago and I genuinely think it could be a success if I could drive traffic to it, what would be the best way of doing so? I have yoast SEO premium but I don't really know how to use it.

What's the easiest and fastest way to promote a site and drive traffic?

Any help, tips or tricks would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Any suggestions, this is the first site I have build, iv spent a few quid getting plugings customised on freelancer but if 8m honest, I don't really know what I'm doing.... Help!

As the above member pointed out, you need to change to a better theme and work on the on-page before looking for traffic. You need to have a good site to convert once the traffic kicks in otherwise your effort will be wasted.

need a good desing ,there are many good wordpress themes, you can use nulled theme too, make sure to scan nulled theme with virustotal.

Yea if everyone's saying you need a new theme and better site design focus on that first. No point in getting traffic if it does nothing.

Make sure your site looks like a high-budget big brand site - it doesn't take a lot of money, just a lot of work.

Once your site is in a good place, I'd say your best bet for traffic sources is Social Media.

If you don't have any money then hit up facebook groups and start interacting with them and promote some of your content.

If you do have a little bit of money definitely spend it on Facebook Ads. There are lots of guides online to help with that but contests/competitions have always done good on Social Media.

As everyone else has said, play about with other themes as the theme you have chosen is not that great or appealing. Work on your on-page SEO and writing good content.
Look at your competitors to get some ideas about themes and content as well as their layout. Make a list of what you could do and apply it to your own site. There are many tutorials on here that have great guides to on-page SEO and content.

Once you have done this then look at social media as you await search engine rankings to kick in, Facebook, Pinterest Instagram, Twitter, to name but a few, start to build them up.
You could also join busy forums in your niche and other niches where you think it may be popular( but don't spam them) and join in on conversations and have your link to your website in your signature.

It all takes time, but if you take your time and build it right it could be a good asset to you in the future.

Good Luck with it

Do the on page part first
You have to increase CTR, so make sure your content and meta tags are good
To drive traffic use social media and other social networks first
Try to get it indexed and ranked for the specific keywords (you can do it through Off page)
If you have a big a budget and have confidence about conversion rate go for paid advertising (facebook ads, google ads, bing ads)
Remember search engines are the largest way to get traffic and if you can rank the website for High volume keywords, you'll get a lot of traffic
