You can try submitting the physical product to Commission Junction also sell it in ebay, amazon etc.

Start with search advertising on AdWords, Bing, maybe try Facebook then continue with banner advertising on niche-specific sites. Then you also have Amazon where you can advertise or even sell your own physical products. When you have a converting offer, go to affiliate networks mentioned above and start finding affiliates.

    Ramenman,

You should figure out who your target market is. I would suggest developing buyer personas. Start by asking yourself what problem your product helps solve. Who would have that problem? How old are they, where to they live?

The idea is that once you know more about your market, you can identify ways to communicate with them. For example if your target market is over 75 years old, marketing online might not be the best idea.
Here are some tips on developing buyer personas,

    Best,

    Shawn

If it's a physical product try offering it on Amazon or eBay just as a test :)

Be careful with Amazon ... unless you strike it out of their standard contract, when you setup a webstore with them they will have right to keep using your sales material, photos etc, even if you close the store.

I suggest looking at what is in the magazines that your potential buyer might read, to see what successful competitors are doing

Consider a joint venture with someone that has good track record with marketing physical goods.
