So I have Comcast for my ISP...I want to try some viral torrent marketing and I dont want to reach my bandwidth limit.

I have a hostgator account...is there a way to have the files on there so I don't have to upload?

Or do you guys think uploading will be a problem at all? (Probably making music album torrents).

Oh, and a quick throw in question. If I promote torrents with youtube is youtube going to ban me?

    Thanks BHW, you're the best:)

No, they will ban you and cancel your account. You need to get a hosting account that specializes in hosting torrents. Get a SeedBox, I like Rutorrent & torrentflux the best.

    Okay thank you...

what about just hosting in general (not torrents necessarily) for copyrighted stuff?

Say I wanted to upload a zip with an album in it that the public could download....

    what would you guys do?

    Thanks

I would happily use media fire if I could get a direct download link to my zip files...

But I think the direct download link is dynamically created when you visit the page...

So there isnt anyway to give a download without sending them to the REAL mediafire page, which I do not want to do

Get a VPS... just as cheap as hostgator junk.
