Ok I feel like im strong in a lot of aspects of Internet Marketing. I can code and design websites for for the sake of time I would rather use a template, either way I can have a nice designed and functionable website. I have a few stratigies for promoting CPA and other offers. But I lack the biggest aspect of IM.... SEO.... ok I feel like learning SEO and becoming a mastermind at it can't be unbeliveably hard. I mean its just one aspect of the game.. now the game itself is hard if you don't know many aspects of it...

Am I right? SEO is key if you have everything else down??

Well as I submit my sites to google wait for them to get indexed.. I have gotten these books... now if you have read them let me know if they are good choices.. OK

I heard "The Art of SEO" was good will this book alone teach me everything I need to get my site indexed on 1st page?

I have other books too but I think that book should be my bread and butter.

One more question just popped in my head very noobish but I want assurance, I hear backlinking is very essential to getting ranked.. right?
In simple terms is backlinking just having a link of your site on another site like yahoo answers, youtube, facebook?

SEO seems learnable in a few days right??:D

Sorry for noobish questions but gotta start somewhere, I love assurance:D

Read the art of Seo, it's a few quid on amazon or free in the download section but I brought the hardback as I prefer books to be held rather than ebooks.

Read that then pick a niche which isn't competitive and learn

Also check out graywolfs threads as his posts are great for starter seo peeps

Ok thank you I will do that and yes I have the art of seo already but havent gotten into it or any seo yet but I will.

Do you agree SEO is one of the most important aspects of making money in IM?

I think if you can become a guru, money would be easy to make. All you would have to do is design a nice site with content and with SEO skills you can turn any site into a success. right?:)

Sounds silly but only read one thing at a time, practice the basics and then move on to the other stuff - one mistake I made was flooding my brain and gettig confused, but this taught me the hard way!
