Any idea why this is happening? 5 star reviews only. And when I show up in Google it shows 4.9 as my rating. What's the deal?

Don't exactly know the "why" but I have seen it a few times before. Sometimes real bad where theyll have 5 star only, and a 3.5 rating or something silly. I recall someone telling me they called into Google to get it sorted.

"We calculate an overall rating based on user ratings and a variety of other signals to ensure that the overall score best reflects the quality of the establishment."

Who knows what Google actually does. The algorithms they use probably aren't that precise and a 0.1 difference could be normal.

Let's say your business is a restaurant... I don't suppose Google reps will come and check out the food. Unless they do that, I don't see what kind of other signals could possibly count more than feedback from those who have been there and eaten the food.
