Hi all,
I started affiliate marketing many years ago and spent a lot of time reading forums but never really doing anything. I have been out of affiliate marketing for a while now, just reading some forums here and there the past few years. I want to get serious with it this time and make something happen. I have $100,000 budget so I am trying to decide what to do. Yes, you read it right, $100,000. $100k. One hundred thousand dollars. Can you all give your opinions on my ideas? your experience and if you think it is still possible to make money.
By making money, I mean at least $5,000 per month, or ideally $10,000 to $100,000 per month. To be honest, it is kind of pointless to be only making several hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars per month. I may as well as go work a regular job. I am not doing this to make some extra side income like some people do. I'm looking to run a business that actually makes real money.
I don't know what's currently happening in the online marketing world right now so I would like some opinions from those of you making real good money from the methods below. Just some feedback, suggestions, opinions, personal success stories, etc.
-----------------------------------------
I am considering the following ways to make money online:
1) SEO: I have no interest at all in ranking in search engines and dealing with algorithms changes. Just not my thing, so probably no SEO.
2) Adwords and Facebook Ads: I feel like I'm too late to these two. Possibly dealing with creating many accounts and getting approved for ads.
3) Youtube channel: I'm not a social person so not my type to create a channel with many subscribers and get paid with ads. can you create youtube channels that don't show your face? like content information channels.
4) Clickbank: Do people still make money with Clickbank? I would like to create an info product to sell on Clickbank but I don't know what to create and if it is even going to sell after creating it. I could promote Clickbank products but I don't know if people still buy Clickbank products nowadays?
5) Mobile app: I have no programming skills so I would need to hire someone to code for me. What if they quit halfway, what do I do then? I don't know what apps to create since a lot of apps already exist. I could spent a lot of time and money creating an app just to get a few downloads lol.
6) Copy successful businesses: Go to sites like EmpireFlippers and look at websites that are selling and copy what they do. I already looked and a lot of the websites only started making big money recently so I don't know how consistent their income is. Maybe they want to get out before their income drops because of SEO algorithms changes or account shutdown.
7) Dropshipping or e-commerce: I don't like dealing with physical products and returns. Do you have to deal with suppliers in other countries? How do you find them and what if they give you low quality products? I see a lot of big revenue numbers but after deducting all expenses, how much money do they really make with their e-commerce stores?
8) Email marketing: I would have to deal with CAN SPAM law and learn how to hit email inboxes. I see some people buy lists and promote lead gen offers to the lists. But there is not much information out there to learn how to do email marketing so I need to spend a lot of time researching how to even do it.
9) Blogging or affilate websites: create lots of content websites promoting affiliate and amazon products. But this requires me to do SEO which I have no interest in. And it takes a while to create content and get traffic to the websites. I could spend months doing this just to get nowhere. Amazon products don't really pay that much.
10) Advertising agency: offer online marketing services to businesses but I don't like dealing with clients. I would need to spend time getting clients, hiring people to do the work and getting paid from clients and retaining clients.
11) Artificial intelligence: This seems to be hot right now but I have no idea what to do with this. Create a AI website or mobile app?
12) Middleman: some kind of middleman business like helping people buy and sell websites. Affiliate network or traffic network but I think these 2 require a lot more money than $100k.
13) Media buying: I'm leaning toward doing this one. I've been studying media buying for quit a while now but never really done anything because never had any money to run campaigns. I do have money now but I am a cautious person so I would like to know what I am doing before running campaigns that require spending hundreds or thousands of dollars just to gather data before seeing any results.
The first one is native ads. I see clickbank vsl products being promoted on native ad networks on news websites. Do you need a big budget for this? If you promote high payout products, you need to spend more money to gather enough data. Do low payout offers work or not worth it?
The second one is adult. Is it still possible to get into adult media buying or way too saturated? Most of the ads on porn sites are pretty much the same...Maybe they buy traffic in bulk so they get cheaper traffic or they get higher payout from affiliate network. Can I come in and compete with them? I also don't have much coding or photoshop skills so if I hire people to do my ads and landing pages, are they going to be interested in doing porn related work?
The third one is mobile. I think I start out with pop and push traffic if I want to do mobile? What other mobile traffic is there? I promote low payout offers to learn and gain experience. Are people still making lots of money promoting apps, games, sweeps, other low payout offers?
-------------------------------------------
I am not interested in methods that make a few hundred or thousand dollars per month. Methods that only last for a short period of time. I may as well as go get a regular job to make that money. Looking to make at least $5,000 per month with a real online business.
I am not interested in any offline busineses. So no real estate, stock market, restaurant, car wash, etc. Not interested in online crypto bitcoin stuff because I think it is too risky for me.
I am not asking for how to make money online. I already know most of the ways people make money online. I'm just looking for some feedback and opinions on what I should do. I am in United States.
(I am a very cautious person so I don't really fall for scams so please don't PM me trying to scam me....)
