I purchased 10 MNS from a user on this site about a year ago. They each came with a 4-5 word keyword, and a single article. All of them using the exact same template. At first, I outsourced SEO and was making ~$100 a month from all 10 sites. I'm now making about $30 a month, and want to do SEO myself, so I need a plan of action.

I've done quite a bit of reading on this site, so I believe I know what needs to be done to improve ranking, but going through this site is like information overload, so getting some feedback would be helpful.

I was thinking I should start adding more articles that use the keyword on each of the respective sites. The one article they came with isn't enough.
I've also been on yahoo answers answering some related questions and linking back to the site to build up backlinks.

Have not really looked into anything else fancy. I'd rather not risk my Adsense account, so I figure just a few articles and a few backlinks a day should naturally build rankings. Should I be considering something else in my plan of action? I want to start a 'My Journey to $10/day' type of topic, but I need some focus before I do so. I'll start with these 10 MNS, and then also try 2 other methods until I'm able to get $10 a day.

(In case you're wondering, for my other two methods, I'm considering Youtube + CPA and possibly starting some sort of Amazon site. My end goal is to run some sort of membership site and/or offline SEO business, but I need more experience and capital to get to that level).

Sorry for the noobish topic. Like I said, I've done a lot of research, but going through this site is information overload, so I thought I could create this topic and get some direct feedback related to my goals and aspirations.

Yeah, you should do what you think. Write up some articles for each MNS. Atleast have 5x500 word articles. If you're already ranking, then keep building varieties of backlinks - Web 2.0s, blog commenting, social signals (very important) - at a steady pace for each site. Do one site at a time, will be a lot more easier. Good luck :)

Thanks. That's the sort of response I wanted. I assumed, after all the reading I had done on here, I had the right course of action, but this is the first time I'm taking action myself, and I wanted to start off on the right foot before I take off running.

Any sort of tools that people can recommend to maybe make some of these steps easier? Keep in mind that I am more focused on long-term results and safe, white-hat methods, rather than quick-term risky methods.

Well, the articles have to hand-written to get the best results. As for the Off-SEO part, there are a number of tools you could use. But then while using tools you need to be careful that you do not overdo anything and you do not leave any footprints. Some good ones are -
    Scrapebox
    GSA

    Avi posted some great information.

I would just like to add a comment. Personally, if it were me, I would test out different methods to monetize the MNS websites.

I would use adsense for 5 of them while using different techniques for the other 5. Perhaps use these for the remaining: PPD, CPA, Clickbank, or Amazon Affiliate (a favorite of mine due to 24 hour cookie tracking) to find out what converts the best.

It really depends on the niche your blogs are focused on as well. I love amazon because someone looking for camping gear advice could use your affiliate link and end up buying something related (a tent, perhaps) or even unrelated, and you get a %.

MNS is all about testing for your particular niche IMO.
I would set up the MNS sites properly first, 500+ word articles on each (at least 5 on each like avi mentioned) before exploring YT + CPA. The reason is because once the MNS sites are set up, you can gradually drip those social signals and back-links while not having to do too much else to maintain the ranking.

While the MNS sites are ranking, you can venture into Youtube. It's a numbers game of scaling up and requires more day-to-day maintenance to not only create and promote the videos en mass, but to continue uploading more as others get flagged and taken down by your competition. While doing this, you only need to contribute a tiny part of your day to the MNS back-linking.

    Just my 2 cents.
I wish you good luck, sir!

Thank you. You're right as far as being careful. I think since I'm only starting with 10 sites, it is pretty easy and manageable for me to do all SEO manually, so I'll start with that and see how it goes.

That is some excellent advise. I just assumed that Adsense was the way to go with MNS, but, you're right, you never know until you try it. Thanks for the tips guys!
