If you paid by credit card, you could have gotten a chargeback through your CC.

You may still be able to do that depending on the law where you are.

I am curious as to why you would screw around for six months waiting for a refund though!!!!!?????????

Get someone to spam their server. Have a spammer send a million emails an hour to crash their site.

HAHAA! Yes get the real black magic on them...

But seriously man, waiting 6 months for a refund? I wait 1 month and then either do a chargeback or dispute, sending checks for goods purchased online is not the best way...

Good luck resolving it, don't waste too much time and effort just make the money back and then drive some golf balls into their company complex.

If you have a copy of your check, hire a lawyer and sue their ass. If they can't provide proof/receipts of your stay/purchase, you'll at least get your money back + laywer's fees.

Thats a bummer. Getting ripped off is never nice. What i would do istry to get their site delisted. I would use a software like xrumer to spam everywhere with all the links from their site. Google will see 100,000 links in a day, and think erm summink fishy ere, and delist them faster than you can fart. Not that i have ever done this before...

ant, you need to sue for your lost funds, court costs, and attorney fees, making the costs and fees the punitive damages award.

Yes, what caretaker2007 said. Sue them for your damages, plus any associated lawyer's fees & court costs. IF you have the check, it should be all you need. Unless they can provide proof that you traveled to your destination, stayed in a hotel, etc., or provided you the service you paid for, then they can't win. Threaten to sue for punative damages too and throw a huge number out there -- that'll scare em into settling out of court. You may even make a little dime out of the whole deal at the end of the day.

Try to find a lawyer who wait to get paid AFTER you win. If you have that canceled check, bring a copy of it with you to the laywer and explain how it's pretty much a slam-dunk case.

BTW, I'm not a lawyer, so take any legal advice I'm giving with a grain of salt ;)

Assuming amount is too large for Small Claims Court...

Contact their local Trading Standards Office and make a complaint

Contact ABTA - their website claims they are a member and should do something.

Email "Watchdog" (that's a BBC TV consumer show for any non Brits)

Find UK Golf Forums and post about your experience, then email the website the link to your posts

www.moneysavingexpert.com is another good UK consumer site worth looking at - see this thread which mentions the company in question

    Go kick arse :)

Which was what you said.... We are going to be going around in circles if we keep this up.

See if you can find others that have been scammed by them also. Do not do a class action suit though, only the lawyers make out on those from what i have read before.

If they get hit with multiple cases the and the courts know about the others it looks really bad and you have a far better chance to win with little effort on the lawyers part. I would guess that this could make for less in the way of fees though.... Find a lawyer with a free consultation.

Man that fucking sucks! I hate scammers! Can you not get a no win no fee lawer to deal with it? I mean you just gotta talk to a few of these lawyer guys and if they can make some quick change of it they are usually open to negotiation, if that fails come and see me ill give you a mack 10, then you can finish the job proper.
