AHAHAH! Ever single domain I try to register, ever single one, is taken. I think of some cool domain and type it in and low and behold. What do I get? A stupid page that says "This domain is for sale, contact us at stupidbitches@n00b.com"

Imagine, what if they all died? Think how great life would be.

I actually don't mind paying a couple bills for a domain thats perfect for what im doing. The issue I always have that drives me insane is the morons that have no contact info, and dont respond to emails.

These are generally all the idiots who registered it, forgot about it, changed their email since then and it will be a 14 months before it drops out if its not on autorenew still linked to a working card.

Ive never had a problem with coming up with a good domain. Sure all the obvious ones will be taken, but we'll NEVER run out of "good" ones. You just have to get creative.

dude, why don't you just make them an offer....just do your homework first before you make an offer

    check the name's PR
    check the name's age
    check for backlinks

if the above is low or zero, then start at an offer of 2x the cost of an actual domain. So, for example, i can buy a domain at 7.30....i'd start with an offer of 14.50 or so....what ever the person counter's with, offer half of it. So if somebody turns around and say's they'll sell it to you for 50 dollars, then offer 25. If the name is worth it in your mind, then you shouldn't mind having to pay a bit more.....

that's if the name has no traffic or stats on it.

If the name does have stats on it, then that's a different story. You're not just paying for a name, but your also paying for the extra organic traffic it comes with.

once again, do your homework first, and make sure the traffic isn't fake.

Not that great if they all paid for 12 years.

Speaking of years, what's the max years you can register a domain one time?

I hate that domain registrars can mass acquire domains and then try to extort money from us purchasers. It's really annoying and they have no use for the domains other than for trying to rip people off. I don't mind if people acquire a small handful each but for thousands to millions come on.

    why not?

if the guy's not making any money from the domain, there's no reason why he wouldn't let it go at double the price he paid for it.

besides....i'm sure he's reply with a counter offer....
