I wouldn't waste my time in replying this sort of emails. I got them quite often because I own couple of hundred domains. I delete them straight away.
I know but it was fun!
its just a stock EMD email
I appreciate your reply to my email and I would be happy to address your concerns directly in hopes that I can enlighten you as to the benefits of purchasing this domain.
You mention the cost effectiveness of this domain, which at your own estimations could bring several hundred visitors via organic search, which is of course free, giving you a total cost per visitor of nothing. Where as the cost of an adwords visitor may average over $1.00. I hope you can understand how paying nothing per visitor is surely more cost effective than paying something.
I also note you are concerned this is a fresh domain, rather than an aged one, and does not have any backlinks built. The benefit of this is that you do not need be concerned of what a previous owner may have done with the website. The site does not have any bad reputation with search engines, email providers or blog post spam filters. You will be able to build the site as your own brand, not worry about cleaning up someone elses previous mistakes.
A third issue you brought to my attention was the website which is currently ranked as #1 for this keyword has some heavy authority in this niche. While this is indeed true, a quick view of that sites page source will tell you that the term "hot dresses for women" is nowhere to be found on their homepage, and is not exclusively optimized for that keyword which means that they don't have the stranglehold on that term that you feel they do.
And finally, I did not bother to waste your time offering you second tier tlds such as .net and .org, as I felt you were aware that in addition to search engine traffic, a term such as this will also bring you a large amount of type in traffic from inexperienced internet users, who simply would type into the address bar, hotdressesforwomen.com instead of first directing themselves to Google. By considering a domain ending in .net or .org, you completely miss out on that free traffic which takes no optimization and can never be taken away from you by any future search engine updates.
Any further questions, I would be happy to address here,
kinda seems like you got served
