What would you buy? Start the real market research based on your key and find other relevant terms you can use.

Exactly right. Put that keyword in quotes into Google and see how many competing sites there are. Look to see if there is a domain name with that keyword or if the results are just articles and Yahoo answers.

If there is another domain and if so how many back links do they have and did they do SEO right or can you out rank them.

See if there are people spending money on it. I put all of the keywords I research through that test. If that keyword passes all of those it may be worth building a domain around that particular keyword. Hope that helps you.

if your relying on g0ogle keyword research only then check out other keyword traffic tools and see what they say.

one time i based my keyword research only on google. google said the phrase (2 words) got 40,000 searches a month. I registered it a within 2 days i was on the top for the phrase. When no traffic came in i tried other keyword traffic tools and they showed 0.

Just do the research on hopefully you'll get it!

Arnt there millions of keywords that bring in more traffic than that? For example "iphone" would probably be searched thousands of times a day.

True, But how will you dominate the search engines with that term???
Longtail keywords is the way to dominate your niche or sub-niche in a reasonable laps of time. Then when your site is more established, you can try for tougher keywords.

alright guys , i will share the keyword with u all , even tough
i dont have to do that .

this keyword is another one .

the keyword is " about what "

    and it gets 4,090,000 searches.

    about-what.net is available

    what-about.net is available

    what-about.org is available

    thatabout.com available

    thatabout.net available

    that-about.net available

    about-that.org available

but these dont make too much of sense to me cos ,

i am in the dating and love niche and need a long tail keyword

so that i can create my autoblog on it .

So if any one can help me how to find a proper long tail keyword
with low competition , it would be great .

No , i am not asking u to give the exact keyword and spoon
feed me and give the keyword itself , i just need help on how it
    is done .

    thanks .

    please help .

These exact two keywords are the ones you were targetting, or am I missing something here?

13,600 searches is not a lot.

the two terms are kinda worthless unless you find a clever way to promote something relevant.

The only thing I can think of is making an encyclopedia called about-what. Then everything is relevant. Good luck.

get a free trial of market samurai (40 days) and you can check out a lot of stuff. if you type in "your keyword" into g00g then you can see how many pages you are up against. see if you are up against .gov's or .edu's or any other prominent sites. scope out the competition

"what about"? no one search for just "what about". Sometimes you must use your brain because adword tools isnt 100%
