Download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (Free Version) and run a full scan with it.

Also, download and install Hitman Pro (Free 14-day trial) and run it.

    Best of luck! :)

Reformat your laptop, google the procedure,
you'll lose your data unless you save some files,
but it's best to just wipe it all and have a clean computer.

Just run both, follow Wiz's instructions that's your best bet to clean it up.

Malwarebytes is more along the same lines as SpywareDoctor and even the free version will fix/remove malware and trojans, whereas the "free" SpywareDoctor will run a scan, but will not fix/remove anything unless you pay for it.

Hitman Pro has a different type of scanning engine and it will sometimes find things that other scanners won't/can't find.

The correct word is "infected", not hacked.

Do two online scans simultaneously overnight:

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

    http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner

Online scans have a higher detection rate as their definition files are the most current.

Sometimes you can find malware in the startups and services sections of msconfig and can turn it off as a first step toward removing it.

There are spots on the registry to look also.

Note, just because the "infected file" is deleted does no mean the system file damage that was caused has been repaired. This might include, disabled Task Manager, disabled System Restore, etc...

Here is what I always do:

    Download MalwareBytes (free version) install
    Reboot comp in safemode
Run malwarebytes (just hit continue when is says "don't run in safe mode" blah blah)
Delete all the junk it finds
start the comp normal, run another scan.

Download Nod32 trial run a scan and delete anything else it finds.

I've fixed dozens of computer (side job) between those two programs I never fail at fixing a system.

This thread cracked me laughing, I just imagined him looking at the screen watching someone managing his lap LOL :D

Type MSconfig and check which programs are loading on startup.

I personally never liked spyware doctor too much. Malware bytes has never failed me, never on some nasty infections. If the doctor works, then great but if it does not support RTS (real time scanning) then i highly recommend you install "Microsoft Security Essentials" as long as you are on XP or higher. Works great of day to day protection, and best of all it is free. Google it and install after your clean to avoid the problem in the future.

Also change all of your passwords. Chances those damn black hats have them...

BEST way to make sure your computer is clean!

there are millions of viruses out there that are undetectable and new ones are created everyday.

    good luck!!

why don't you just do what Wiz already suggested above instead scanning with Spywaredoctor? all the programs he mentioned has a fully functional free trial

those low risk files are most likely in your temp folder, cookies with adware and such, just clean the junk from your temp folder with an application like ccleaner, your next scan will run much more faster
those 2 high risk infections can be found with malwarebytes too, so just run it and remove them with that
