    Hi
    I hate having a real job, having a set schedule, having to answer to a boss, etc. etc. I am sure you know what I'm talking about.

    so besides SEO, what other things can I do that would not be considered "a real job"?

    Edit: hi guys. I NEVER said I dont want to work. I realize there is no quick, easy cash. why all this heat?
    I never said SEO is easy. SEO is extremely frustrating.
    I am willing to work super hard, i just hate having a 9 to 5 job and having to dress up for it and pretend I like my boss all day long. I want to have a flexible schedule. more freedom.

    Sell drugs? Jokes aside there are hundreds of ways to make money online. Are you thinking of using the Internet or just ways in general?

    How is SEO not a real job.

    If you're saying it doesn't require a hell of a lot of passion, commitment, energy and drive, then fuck you. It does. It is a real job, to me and many, many others.

    Acting LOL

    Not bashing on actors here, but since I live in Hollywood that had to be let out.

    Here are work opportunities that many don't see as real jobs, but can produce some nice income: Internet/Network/Online Marketer, Pro Gamer, Professional Athlete, Pornstar, Blogger and all freelance-activities.

    Be your own boss!
    But don't think that's gonna be easier. Especially in the beginning most likely you have to work your ass of to get even close to the income you can get as a regular office worker.

    Do some research on your own. I had my last "regular job" 6 years ago and that was part-time to just help with some of the bills.

    Unemployment is the best way to have a job that doesn't require any work, commitment, or schedule.

    The great thing about having a job is that it helps teach you organization skills and gets you used to getting up early in the morning so you can stay disciplined and work.

    I don't mean to call you out, but SEO isn't some kind of "magic carpet" that will whisk you away from the real world so you don't have to work a "real job." SEO is hard work and if you think you're going to make $80k/year right off the bat, you are sadly mistaken.

    Instead of berating you, I want to help and offer suggestions. I work a really shit data entry job right now, but I plan to work hard on SEO until the end of the year, rank on some KWs (regardless of profit), and then look for an SEO job so I can learn all day and get better at a much faster rate.

    The fact is, not everyone can avoid a job. I graduated with an accounting degree, but i HATE accounting. So I stumbled upon SEO and I really, thoroughly enjoy it (even though some parts of it SUCK!). However, I can't just not get a job...I have loans to pay off. Instead of focusing on how I can get mass amounts of dough quick, I realized that I can pay off my loans WHILE learning SEO at the same time with an SEO job! So now I shifted my focus from trying to profit off the internet to learning what I can so I can land the job, learn, then quit in 2-3 years after my loans have been paid off (I haven't gone out in a loooooong time).

    So what I'm saying is a job isn't the end of the world. A lot of people may tell you "just quit", but it isn't that simple. Sometimes you just need a job, so if you do, why not learn then get a job in the field you want to make money in? Get out of the "I just want to not work" mindset and get into a "I must work NOW so I don't have to later." Think about where you see yourself in the future and set out a solid plan of how you're going to get there. Don't make it too strict, make sure there is some wiggle room, and do something every day to reach that goal. Create mini-goals and avoid getting drunk off the thoughts of possibly living a life of leisure. Instead, focus on your mini-goals and live in the current moment. You aren't even close to living a work-free life yet and you are just wasting your time day dreaming about it.

    Pro tip: If you are allowed to listen to an ipod at work, skip the music and download some educational audiobooks or podcasts. You will come to appreciate just how much you can learn from 8 hours of listening to stuff vs. just mindlessly typing numbers into a program that you could give a damn about.

    hi guys
    I understand the term "real job" is kind of vague.
    OK, I will define it now. my definition of a real job is something that starts from 9 am to 5 pm, something for which you have to wake up at a certain time. and you have to answer to a boss. and you have to dress up. I hate that.

    Having not a real job is 24/h when you either run your own local business or make your money on the internet. As a freelancer you have to always get in new jobs or you will run out of money when you stop working.

    @yayman
    Good input!

    @P.Rice
    Is there a thing as too much porn? LOL

    I think the real question is, what people want to do with their lives.
    Some people find their purpose in their job - most people say they don't.

    I believe, we should spend all more time on the things that makes us happy.

    Always is best to have a B plan . OR something that will ensure you so always is better to FIRST focus on a GOOD 'real' job , THEN in your rest of the time, work on the second IM job ;) Many ppl are having 2 second 'real' jobs which really sucks ! But this is what they do bcause they want money AND also if they get fired from one job, they will have the second one ! So why not to have instead one main real job and secondly, to work to the other one on the internet ;) Sounds pretty nice.

    But unless you are not Zuckelberg or own Amazon or other big site or some stable bussiness on the net, you cant just put your basis only on working from the internet. IF it was like this , and that easy, trust me, all the ppl would work from home , and we wont have any medics, pilots, cops and so on :D

    You can easily make money off the internet and live off that...you don't have to be amazon or facebook.

    I would love to go back to a 9 to 5 job in a shop or bar just to hang out with people whilst the online work is sitting automated in the background

    Empower is the best legit way to make your own business and retire young. The problem for most people is that they join and they're basically on their own trying to figure out how to do things, what to do, what to use etc. I'm in a team that provides training, resources and support to be successful like weekly webinars, private facebook group and private skype group. I'll be passing my normal salary in a few months because of this and personally saw money come in the first 4 days. You have to be able to dedicate some time to blog once a day though.
