    Hi there,

On a previous thread I was advised to sell SMM services instead of website development.

I was told to manage facebook & instagram (for example) accounts and post news, photos for the businesses and try to increase followers number.

But then when doing researches about SMM I saw that it was more about ads. Like running facebook ads for a company.

So which one is best? Should I sell both types of service?

I wanted to work for free for companies at start to prove the value, by creating and managing their social networks.

But just managing social networks won't bring customers the first month.

However paid ads will. But I can't give them the first month for free then. And it is much harder to convince them then.

    What should I do?

You can offer as many services as you think you can deliver with good quality to your clients. You can just build out a small services section on your website where you offer all different services. I don't think you need to limit yourself to just one service.

Are you familiar with automation tools? If so then you can increase your potential clients followers without doing paid ads.

Do you think it would be great to offer one free month of SMM (not paid ads)?

Just a little bit since I'm new to SMM, I've heard of Jarvee

So it can bring quality followers (engagement)?

smm is just the order panel. Their backend is a bot net of social media accounts. Almost followers are fake, depends on how human similar the account is, you can consider its quality or not. Some offer real followers by promoting your page using bot and fake accounts

I pay a company for doing SMM of my mom’s business. She has a local business in Brazil and I don’t have enough time to do it. She was bugging me about this and she came up with this company, asked for my opinion and hired them. Lol there is a lot of market. They do great! Paying around $250 per month, 5 unique posts per month (images made by their designers) and user interaction. My mom loves it and keeps a group on WhatsApp, asking some simple stuff to this company team, funny as hell. Anyhow, I’m pretty sure there is market for that, I know they have tons of other customers. They also do ads but it’s an extra .

It depends on your strategy! if your clients has quality content and you do follow/unfollow their competitors followers you'll see good results. You may also take a look about the Mother/Child method here on BHW.

He ain't talking about SMM panels but SMM (the business) in general.

    That sounds amazing

    But Isn't $250 a lot for a small business?

When you say they design images, what kind of images is it? Photograph given by your mom? Or just text with offers?

Can I know their company name or website to see what they offer exactly?

    Thanks. :)

So if my clients can't provide quality pictures/photographs it will be hard to build something right?

Thank you for the advice and mother/child method, I'll check that

From what you have written, it looks like you still don't know much about SMM. There are tons of tools out there which you can use to automate the social media of clients and bring in engagement.

Yes this is it.. because you are interacting with real human being here! If you follow someone in your client's niche he would follow back if he likes the account. And will interact with the future posts if the content is good. A quality account would get a higher follow back ratio that's obvious.

Just purchase a Jarvee subscription and test yourself.. you have a lot of things to learn (It's not that easy but it's fun).

    Good luck buddy.

I am not interested in SEO, it costs money and for a small business it is better to invest money in SEA than SEO.

If web development is your primary skill you should definitely offer that and then use smm or seo or whatever as a retainer. The biggest issue with web development business is that most people cannot think of a retainer service. It is the retainer service that builds the business. If you are good at web development offer that and then outsource the retainer services so you can focus on finding more clients. In essence you will be managing all retainer services but not focusing on them.

    Thank you for answering me

My prospects already have a website. And I was advised on a precedent thread to no sell something that they already have.

I was going, at first, to sell a website with a monthly subscription instead of one-time payment.

Sell a new website for a one-time fee and then a small fee afterwards for hosting and maintenance.
