It usually depends on how much the code formatting changes. If you changed it today, you'll find out soon if it drops.

The site may drop, but doesn't have to. Time will show :)

I have an seo website that is #1 in my area, I have changed the design of the website at least 3 times without seeing any negative effects. I believe as long as the wording and the structure remain the same there is no reason for SE's to frown on a theme change.

It may change. Some themes are optimised and thus it could contribute to your ranking in the Search Engine Results Page. If your website has a good backlink portfolio, I would not expect a major change in your rankings.

I lost first page rankings for weeks, until I build some more web 2.0 profiles and blasted them... Then page came back again... Just remember your site is cached within Google. If google see's a change they will have to re-cache the page or entire site again. Just heads up.

If the theme changes where the content is located, then yes. Otherwise, no.

i concur with verilix.. if the theme doesn't change the location of the content then you're pretty much safe from your SEO being affected...

    Changing theme doesn't affect SEO!

P.S. The more you worry about your ranking, the more it will be hard for you to rank!
