So I'm an affiliate marketer and I run a ton of cold traffic ads from Taboola, FB, youtube to a Clickbank offer.

I've been profiting quite well without collecting any leads and directly transferring them over to the Clickbank VSL.

But now, I'm thinking I should start collecting leads before sending to the offer.

I'm afraid that'll drop my conversion rate since now I'm adding an extra step to the funnel.

I'm also looking for some advice on inbox placement because in my previous trials, all the emails went to their spam.

To clarify, I'm pretty much looking for ways to learn how to monetize on all the leads I'm currently collecting.

If you got bright ideas to help me shortcut, please share it here for all of us. Thank you so much!

I also suggest collecting these emails, but it’s more difficult with cold traffic, as it will probably effect conversions, which you assumed. Once captured, they belong to you, rather than a one off.

But capturing them is only worth it if you plan to build a relationship with them, thereafter. Sending more/different offers isn’t going to do much for you, you might get 1 more conversion.

Some people don’t really communicate they just churn out emails. Others are only dropping links in some of their emails, the rest are just niche related content/value, to get them engaged and build some recognition so they open them.

The latter will have more success with their email marketing, even with less links or emails sent. They are building trust with their subscribers, but this isn’t the goal for everyone.

You have to stand out among the other thousand emails obviously lol.

If you get them to make a folder for your emails, add your email to their white list, or somehow interact in a way they haven’t with the others, it can help get your emails into their primary rather than promo etc.

BUT if it is going to spam, that is partially based on the user. If they never check marketing emails or other emails related to your content or offer than your email will probably be sent to spam. Essentially the same applies for promo tabs.

& it is partially your email address / brand authority. A business email/domain obviously has less chance of hitting spam, but can still tank it’s authority in googles eyes by doing things elsewhere. Your domain itself could be the issue in some of these cases.

I wish I could be of more help, because I don’t have much experience In countering these things, I just think they exist or at least did exist in the past when I started building my first list.

I’ve since given my list to an old friend in my niche. Because other projects took priority and grew faster than I was prepped for at the time.

I hope someone else chimes in and and gives some actionable advice, best of luck.

Edit:
if your question is simply monetization rather than email related, I also suggest trying your hand at CPA like @Gdlobo said. But it is frowned on by Facebook etc. you will need to use some workarounds to promote CPA offers via advertising. Simply put you will lose accounts if you don’t research CPAfirst. Cloaking pages, e books, PDFs, quizzes other things.

You can copy the whole landing page, paste it into the new domain and make some changes regarding the email capturing techniques. This way you can test the idea without harming your winning project.
