I can't believe I wasn't accepted by one of affiliate programs!

I've spent nearly 200 hours to create this heavily customized website, I use only the best quality unique content there (800-1000 words review articles) and I can't believe that one of the affiliate programs (in that niche) declined my application.

OMG! I think that my site looks better than at least 80% of review sites. Or am I wrong?

I truly believe the decision comes from many factors.. so I ask these questions:

    1. Do they have a set of qualifications posted somewhere before you become an affiliate?

    2. Do the other review sites including social interaction through comments and other web 2.0 properties?

    3. Do other review sites have more than 1 page in the site which provides more detail and some other extra things?

I don't think the appearance of the site has much to do with whether you were accepted or not... in fact, it is my honest opinion that it's a waste of time when you can easily download a premade theme.

How old is your website/domain? That may be one reason.
Also, what affiliate program were you trying to join?
If there isn't any hope in getting accepted there are hundreds of affiliate networks out there :p

None of pre-made themes can do what I need them to do (all in one). That's why I spend a lot of time customizing. I decided to go the quality way instead of quantity, it will payoff in the long run.

Affiliate network which declined my application is: Atrinsic Affiliate Network. I tried to join them because they run affiliate program for Blu Cigs. I already created quality content and special page for that brand, and I don't want to lose my work.

Of course site design wasn't the main reason for decline, but that quote made me SAD!

They mentioned that my site is new and doesn't have search engine rankings - I think that was the main reason for not accepting my application.

How do they know how much traffic I may send them tomorrow or even today? I can run PPC campaign right now and not rely on serp.

bulocks. there are tons of networks and advertisers to work with. many don't accept certain sites because of how the product or service is being marketed. but if you feel it is legit then calling them and discussing it will probably solve the issue. don't be afraid to do that!

Your website definitely looks good. Like everyone said, give them a call and it might do the trick. If not, move on to another advertiser, wouldn't be hard to get accepted with such site. Good luck.

If they dun accept you is their loss. Try another better network to partner with them.

Yes, this is definitely their loss.

Thank you guys for suggestions. I may call them later today to learn exact reason for decline.

they are probably looking at many sites a day, sometimes the reviewer will make errors

a manual re check will likely get you in when you call

also re serps, their reasoning is pretty stuid, why would you spend $$$ ranking before being accepted, surely when accepted you would then spend the $$$ to rank and make money
