I can automate almost all tasks I can think of using python. But now I don't know what the fuck to do.

I spent 3 years learning Python. Long story short, my original stupid master plan fell through when the cold water of reality drenched me in disappointment. Going, to be honest, I'm pretty much suicidal at this point, I've tried so many things for years (IRL stuff) to give me even an inch of financial security but it always came down to the same thing:

A): I didn't have the money for the equipment I needed for it to be commercially viable.
B): My idea was terrible just terrible oh god why did I think it was a good idea.

I put my everything into learning how to automate anything in a browser, desktop, other programs, etc. Now I'm sitting on top of a huge pile of knowledge and I just don't have the dopamine to form a new plan in my head of how to use it to make money and not be a fucking slave for the rest of my miserable wasted life for some cunt who pats me on the back because my sweat blood and tears helped then get a new yacht.

Anyway, Anyone have any ideas?

Offer your python building services here once you become a Jr. VIP.

Go into NFT Project Discords and offer your service.

You can earn big with NFT/Crypto biz.

If you are looking for something long-term that is automated and makes you money, create a website that sells info you have gathered using a python bot built to scrape info from certain websites...

If you know what you're doing with Python you can be making $10k+ a month before the end of the month.

You got this :)

cant afford Jr Vip.

NFT project discord sounds interesting, researching nft has been on my to-do list.

and how can I use my skills in crypto exactly? edit: oh right trading bot. I'm a terrible trader. I suppose I could always automate my way into bankruptcy.

Don't suppose you can just spoil the ending for me? At this moment in time, I'm not sure I have enough neurotransmissions to absorb large quantities of information.
20k/month right now with combined income sources, fully passive, running automations, everything can be done using python.

That said, take your rest and free up some neurons.

Simple. You can automate but you can't think of what to automate. Research what others are automating. Pick one. Offer that as a service. You have the skills. Now is not the time to give up. I actually will need your type of service soon. There are many more like me

with such an impressive amount of knowledge, a SaaS of some sort would be within your expertise, a quick example:

- A lead selling platform, I came across one that sells filtered leads for $1 per lead and people were dying to secure a monthly subscription which gives them around 400 leads and it costs $250ish / per month

# their lead collecting method is a bot that scrapes sites like Churchbase and LinkedIn for business within a pre-set filters

the math = $250 per month x 10 clients = $2500 / per month doing the bare minimum of marketing and SEO.

....so many things to automate and this is just one of them.

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days now. It looks promising, so if you could do the techy part then nothing could stand in your dream of sailing across the ocean on your yacht to have a pint with me. but yeah you've got the knowledge you just need to see how silly some of these SaaS are and how insane the amount of money they are making.

Ok, ill do that. But if I get halfway through your journey and it turns out you ended up spending a huge wad of spare money you had just lying around like every other journey/method I see then....well nothing. I'll just be sad.

Find a JV partner. There is no shortage of people with cash that would love to partner with truly great automation engineers.

you mean scraping for specific candidates for employment based on filtered searches?.... if so I could make a script that does that in like an hour. And by an hour I mean probably a few days. holy shit, I like this one. thanks so much for taking the time to type that.

Cool your jets, dude.

This is why you get overwhelmed and heart broken. Before you start coding that script, work through all your steps. Who are you going to be selling this to? How will you find them/how will they find you? Figured that out? Do a $0 cost test: ask if your audience if they need what you will be offering.

The secret to making money is figuring out how to find your sellers buyers.

so much scope with python. You can start building dynamic games, desktop application and earn handsome from them.

yea your right. And I have no idea how to market....fuuuuuck.

Are you able to work with cronjob ?
Creating a server based crawler which updates x minutes ?
Have a look at my jv thread i posted some time ago.

I also recommend being very picky because 95% of offers which you will receive will be failures.

you mean buyers right?
Yes, of course.

No wonder youre burnt out.

Babysteps.

1: prove your skills to yourself. Post on giveaway free automation service to 5 jrvip. You'll get a boat load of replies. Pick the first 5 that you think are within your skills. It doesn't matter if it is small or large. This will give you confidence AND 5 potential reviews/people to vouch for you.

2: there are countless of facebook, discord, LinkedIn, etc. groups you can join. I have no idea where you're located, so, I don't know your $ needs but.... create a Google website....make it super simple...like just text basically woth a PayPal pay/donate button. Post on the groups mentioned above $100 automations to build my reputation on this platform....blah blah blah. Also post some short case studies about the 5 projects you did on bhw (no need to reference bhw). This will show people what you can do for them. You've get to engage with real people and see what people need....and make some money.

3: translate this new knowledge and build something you can sell to real people.

Also, no one likes a cry baby. Don't whine so much. It isn't attractive and doesn't garner trust in your abilities. Look at everything with possibility. Instead of whining "i am so depressed i ahvent made money" say "I have all these skills I havent been able to capitalize on...I am feeling low but I know it can only get better from here."

Alright, first off stop being sorry for yourself. It doesn't get you anywhere and makes you come across as weak. You failed. Big F... deal?

Life is like this and entrepreneurship is ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR THE WEAK HEARTED.

If you think you cannot survive this life of uncertainty - go find a job. If you're as skilled as you say you are, it shouldn't be all too difficult.

Now coming to the other parts -

1. First things first, clear out your "I can't afford {x}" restraint. Go to Upwork, Freelancer or one of the many Freelancing sites, setup a decent profile and start applying for Python/Automation/Botting jobs. Heck, you're an automator - figure out a way to automate bidding on these websites. Get a job, complete it religiously and move on to the next one. Keep doing this till you're financially stable.

2. Figure out the difference between a programmer and an entrepreneur. Read a book or two, listen to podcast, take a course if you have to.

Businesses don't run on the whims of their owners. There's a method to the madness. A protocol. A way to do things.

Understand how sales works, how after sales service is like, understand how to scale a business, understand how to build a product from your IDE to a full-scale customer facing entity.

3. Go through this forum - read the journeys. Go to the marketplace, see what people are selling. Read the responses to the marketplace threads. See what people are asking for and the sellers are unable to provide.

Once done, goto Producthunt or indiehackers.com/products - See what makers around the world are building. Check to see what is within your scope as a developer.

Make a note of everything. Then see how/if you can automate it.

Run the automation, test it.

4. Make a community your home - when you launch a product or a service into the world, you absolutely need a community to rally behind you. This community becomes your first beta testers, your first focus group, even your first clients.

This happens not when you sign up. This happens when you participate. You contribute. You connect.

You gain the respect of your peers, you partake in wonderful discussion, you initiate topical discussions - you grow as a person, and the community grows it.

BHW is fantastic at it.

5. Build your product and launch launch it the marketplace here. Build, scale, expand, exit, build more...

If you're stuck on resources - need testing servers or even proxies... Hit me up. But I won't give them away based on your whims. I'll need to know what's going on. Don't need the code, neither do I care about it, but will need accountability.

Over the past 3 years, me, my business partners and companies we worked in their behalf spends over $200,000 on python programmers alone (Big data and cloud computing freelancers), i hope this helps you realize how is your skill is really in demand.

All members above gave useful tips on how to proceed, and i think the problem you have here is that you've got knowledge in python but no business skills, i'd suggest you start reading journey threads here, so you start getting ideas on how your skills could be useful, but you said you can't absorb information anymore.

Like someone stated above, I'd also suggest you start a JV, One hand doesn't clap, and you may find a partner who can handle business development and marketing.

[Mod edit, just want to also state that the member contacted the staff about that so credit to the person]

Good luck my friend.
